If you think you understand the meaning of this quote, please please let me know, as I am racking my brains ;D

Ich wünsche allen einen schönen Samstag!

Let's face it now, it isn't everyday we see a genuine example of anti gravity anywhere let alone in agarden is it now? Yet here we have it along with the evidence, and not just any garden - it's in our garden! I know, it's incredible, but its not for sale so don't even go there.

The only other example I can think of is those UFO things that keep turning up on people's phones, but as folks don't believe in those, that makes this little baby unique does it not.

I'll tell you something else, it's totally silent, doesn't make a sound and you can pass your hands all around and underneath it like one of those stage magicians - it doesn't seem to mind. Nor, does it limit itself to any one flowerbed, oh no it moves with it's whims not just the sun, hot border in the morning, vegetable patch in the afternoon - it even followed me into the house one day!

A couple of days after taking this very photo, my wife and I had to pop to the garden centre (we were looking for something inter dimensional) and this little baby kept pace with us for an entire kilometre. It was only as we turned out of our road and my wife put the pedal to the metal that we thought we had lost it - I say 'thought' because when we pulled into the car park at the garden centre about 10 miles away there it was! I don't think anyone else saw it for it was hovering about 50 feet in the air directly over the compost bags, as it did so it slowly rotated and as the sun caught its petals it appeared to change colour - just like one of those bona fide UFOs that don't exist, and when we got home an hour later, there it was, sunning itself next to the garlic. I know, I know, it's incredible, but it isn't for sale so don't even go there....

A fun piece of recycling at a local park : o )

Have a great day, folks x

I forgot this one folks and the last one of this bathing beauty, you just rarely see this behavior from this species, they are so very elusive.

Have a great Sunday, and a great week ahead, oh and thanks for stopping by.

The very unusual sight of a totally deserted road as it snakes up the Honister Pass. It was eerily silent as I made my way slowly up Fleetwith Pike's north-west ridge,

For some unspecified reason the Pass was closed from the Buttermere end & on such a glorious day I can only hope for the Honister businesses that it was open from Borrowdale to allow folks to get there.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my lovely Flickr friends, and indeed all who come to visit, a peaceful and joyful Christmas-time as Jesus' birth is celebrated all over the globe once again.

Thanks for the visits folks. Thank you for the private e mails as well as the group invites, favs and comments.

Thank you for the joy that many of your streams bring me as well, I look forward to visiting many of them.

Thanks javeir

26/52 weeks for dogs

Gaia was having fun running around with her friend Kaya and Harry. She does not do it very often in the last weeks and I was happy she did that day. Maybe it is because I do practice with Harry . She sleeps a lot and is not interested in nothing. But she eats and drinks normally, and when she sees her enemies or cats in the street she is acting normally so maybe just in a bad mood....we already had a blood check and everything was good.

This Lion Iposted is Kibogoyo from the 6 pack ( aka Bila Shaka males) and not Doa.

Sorry folks

Well folks there are other species out there we just cannot find them and are always running into Hawks, Eagles and Birds of Prey, not complaining mind you but when we see others we try.

Thanks for visiting everyone and for the all the kind words, always appreciated.

Have a wonderful weekend, folks!

Best enjoyed 'large' folks.

A total fluke, folks. Didn't even know I had the picture until I looked on the computer. This stretches the gear to the limit -- here I am shooting at 800mm (FF Eq) with a severe crop -- about a fourth of the frame on a crop sensor. The sun was well down so high ISO and a long, long way off. I saw the Flicker in the tree and pointed the camera there with bird subject detect on. When I saw him take off I just depressed the shutter and didn't think I actually got him. This was the only picture of about 10 that he was clear. I realize now the sun was going down behind my back on the other side of the house, and I guess as he took off the sun caught the bottom side of his wings. A lovely memory even if not technically perfect. PS: I just noticed this has a couple of strange post-processing artifacts - some perfect lines (almost like you can see part of a grid behind it). Not sure why those showed up but I think I’ll just leave this one posted. Those aren’t on my original. Hmmm.

The wagon master and his horses enjoy a rest in the shade during the annual Humbug Day picnic and parade. This is one of the best small town events I've attended. Friendly folks wearing authentic historical costumes, and the barbecue was great.

Happy Fence Friday everyone.
