Beautiful sight this evening; was fortunate to have a clear view as it was just rising of the horizon, showing some color!

Coinciding with the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, the rare "Strawberry Moon" lit up the sky! According to "The Old Farmer's Almanac," the strawberry moon was given that name by Algonquin tribes due to its occurrence at the height of the season when strawberries are harvested." According to AccuWeather.com, the last time there was an intersection of these two phenomena was 1967--and won't occur again until 2062!
