Mayakovskaya (Russian: Маяковская), is a Moscow Metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line, in the Tverskoy District of central Moscow.
The name as well as the design is a reference to Futurism and its prominent Russian exponent Vladimir Mayakovsky. Considered to be one of the most beautiful in the system, it is a fine example of pre-World War II Stalinist Architecture and one of the most famous Metro stations in the world. It is most well known for its 34 ceiling mosaics depicting "24 Hours in the Land of the Soviets." During World War II, it was used as a command post for Moscow's anti-aircraft regiment.

I'm back! Oulanka National park, one of my favorite places in Finland, basking in the morning glow.
So here is a story! No postings or any kind of photo editing for last two months. About a couple of months ago the worst thing imaginable happened. Basically the astronomically tiniest odds occurred and two of hard drives broke down in consecutive manner (new ones). Luckily for me a certain professional data restoration service were able to recover all my precious photos from the last 10 years. It may have cost me an arm and a leg (figuratively speaking), but I will be sure to recommend them from now on to everyone!
Folks, take your backups seriously!

How sunset at -30-°C looks like. I finally had the chance to visit Riisitunturi National Park and such a gorgeous place it is. The frozen trees make it look like walking on another planet. But remember to dress warmly! 😅

During this insane heatwave I felt the need going back down the memory-line to a more chilling environment. This time to lovely western coast of Iceland moments before one of the biggest winter storm in a decade hit the coast. What a day it was! I shall never forget my first trip to Iceland.
