Year of Fog project
Jake and Abby had their fourth date here.
Not only that, but about four blocks north of here, on Valencia St., I get my hair cut at a place called "Vertical Clearance". www.yelp.com/biz/dU2F-gMOfmMqnkegjQu0Lw
(Don't worry about that #21 in the title; I'm just jumping ahead in the stream a little.)
Fog is a collection of water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air at or near the Earth's surface. While fog is a type of a cloud, the term "fog" is typically distinguished from the more generic term "cloud" in that fog is low-lying, and the moisture in the fog is often generated locally (such as from a nearby body of water, like a lake or the ocean, or from nearby moist ground or marshes).
Fog is distinguished from mist only by its density, as expressed in the resulting decrease in visibility: Fog reduces visibility to less than 1 km (5/8 statute mile), whereas mist reduces visibility to no less than 1 km (5/8 statute mile). For aviation purposes in the UK, a visibility of less than 2 km but greater than 999 m is considered to be mist if the relative humidity is 95% or greater - below 95% haze is reported.

Found lots of fog around when I woke up the other day. I decided to try and get to the park before the sun burned through it. I almost made it, but there was still some left. Early spring, the morning after rain and fog. A great time to be out shooting.

I brought my camera to the office this day for a photo shoot and afterwards we went to a meeting of the Vancouver Historical Society. On this Thursday we went to see friend and CBC film/media archivist Colin Preston talk about and show some interesting films from the early 60s Vancouver. Each was a sort of "day in the life" of a local average Vancouverite; a bus driver, a waitress, a jazz musician and, the horse track. Almost New Wave in nature, these great short films from the early 60s were very insightful as to what life was like so many years ago. But I digress...
While watching, an amazingly thick fog rolled inn. These few shots are the fruits of amazing light and an f1.4 50mm lens.
greensborough at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Still a bit foggy. The sun came out at about 10 past 2. July 22 2014. These 2 darling Little corellas are having fun doing whirlies on the phone line. They do not like flying in the fog. My pet corella likes to hang upside down from my skirt

We had just dropped off a relative at San Diego International airport (SAN) and stopped on the way home to view the beautiful fog that was swirling on San Diego Bay.
