The forecast was for early morning fog so it was very pleasing to find that the weather forecast was correct as often it is not. I arrived before sunrise at the chosen spot near the township of Yarra Glen in Victoria, Australia and spent nearly two hours photographing the ever change scene below me.
Sometimes when you lose you way in the fog, you end up in a beautiful place! Don't be afraid of getting lost. . . . Mehmet Murat ildan
This was quite a sight at the local golf course.
My sister said this looked like heaven's waiting room.
Looks like a bench on the planet Jupiter, amazing thing to see
It has been foggy and off and on rainy since Friday. The local airport had to cancel almost all flights for the past three days. My son had to get back to school but his flight was canceled for two days straight. I ended up driving him to Detroit to catch the second leg of his flight; with fog like this most of the way there and back. At night you couldn't see more than the distance of three lane hash marks, even with fog lights.
I wanted to take a picture of the reservoirs in Chingford from Epping Forest. During the walk there, the fog got very dense and by the time I got to where I wanted to be, the reservoirs had vanished in the fog! I still like the image that the fog makes.
Lake Tarawera earlier this month. It made for a pretty sunrise. The fog never really lifted till after 11am!
An adult male and juvenile bison were walking in the thick early morning fog. The colour results from the fog and early time of day. The image was also shot at f/2.8 to help blur the background. I like the layers in this image (rolling prairie and tree line), which are enhanced by the fog.
It was really foggy this morning and the first morning I have ventured out in many months. I captured 5 images before the fog was gone...maybe more tomorrow.

Little fog at the gate, not much, not little. Hard to catch this one at vista point with such form. Always something different to see in bay area.

Overnight air temperature cooler than the water temperature of nearby lakes and ponds, temperature dips below the dew point, and ground fog blankets the low areas.
