Inspired by Pissaro’s painting ‘The Effect of Fog’, I took this shot while walking along the Schuykill river in Philadelphia one morning. I first thought this shot would yield a black and white image, but then changed my mind. I used my Nikon D750 and 135 mm Ai f2.8 at f5.6 for capture and Lightroom for processing.
Fog rises from the frozen Penobscot River on a cold January morning, with the First Congregational Church, Brewer, Maine visible in the background.
The sun tried to burn off fog. Glad to see all the green grass after all the rain we got this winter.

Took this at Fleet Pond Nature Reserve in Hampshire on a really foggy day. If you look closely at the grasses you can see lots of spider webs.

It's been a while since I last processed a picture. So, I thought to pick a simple one to kinda get myself acquainted with PS again.

On 28 July we were supposed to return to the mainland the way we had arrived: by plane. I had really enjoyed that flight and was looking forward to flying back, but there was fog. We were brought to the airport, where we were told there would be no flights and that we could go back by ferry in the afternoon ...
So we walked around St Mary's for a couple of hours to keep ourselves busy.
