we went in search of the supermoon and found thick patches of low hanging fog...genuinely beautiful but could easily have been the opening scene of a 70's Hammer Horror film

first the fog rolled in and it became very cold.

Then it started to snow. - again

While heading to the coast I had to drive through this ugly fog bank and the whole time I'm thinking, I'm driving 5 hours to the coast and I won't even be able to see the water. Turns out, I was worried over nothing. About 30 miles from the coast it was clear skies all the way.

The colors are wonderful in the mountains of Southern Norway during fall, but rain and fog might appear quickly.

Johnson Bay in Lubec, Maine. Lubec is the Easternmost town in the US. The trees peeking through the fog are on Canada's Campobello island.

I love fog. It is very beautiful when the diffused light's got this quality of softness and the street looks like a theater stage... Unfortunately it is not that often this year and when it happened i was not in the center. So i am not sure this image does the justice what i want to say...
