I took 3 photos (using a tripod) of this scale model.
With each photo I focused a tiny bit further away
Then I merged all 3 photos in Photoshop, so the scale model is sharp from back to front.
2022-064 Very Tiny Visa - This holographic sticker on one of my cards is about the size of my pinky nail. If you look at the beak, you'll see "VISA" there. That is *very* tiny.
Ricoh KR-10 SLR Camera. This was Camera of the year some time during the 80's. This is my first attempt at focus stacking and any tips will be welcome. Pictured with 25 years of storage dust!

This image is focus stacked, using CombineZ5. About four images were taken at different focus points which were then post processed into a single image to extend the depth of field.

This is not the same Russian Thistle as the one called "tumbleweed," though in the same genus. I have seen this termed a "noxious weed." However, according to calflora.org, "The California Invasive Plant Council classifies its potential impact on native ecosystems as limited."
British Soldier Lichen (Cladonia cristatella or similar). 38 images shot with Canon 50D and MP-E 65mm at 5x using 0.06mm steps with a Cognisys StackShot and stacked in Zerene Stacker. Lit with MT-24EX @ 1/8 with diffusion gels.
Focus merge of a Hibiscus 'Peach Blow' flower. With Covid about, we've planted many ornamental plants & native shrubs in our garden to keep myself entertained at home.

Shot with the Canon MP-E at 5x magnification, this is also the result of 5 focus stacked images using Helicon software.
This small and easy-to-miss orchid is the most limited in its range of the North American twayblades (Neottia). It's only found in the Appalachian mountains from a few counties in northwest Georgia to Pennsylvania and one county in New Jersey. It seems somewhat common in some parts of western North Carolina, but most everywhere else it is relatively scattered and rare. It usually lives in moist, shady areas rich in humus, very often under Rhododendron shrubs! As with many orchid species, it doesn't seem very tolerant of disturbance.
