Gefällt mir trotz seiner Unvollkommenheit besonders gut.

A 22-image stack. They are so bright pink and visible at this young stage. These are the fruiting bodies of Lycogala epidendrum which is a single-celled organism that is normally solitary, but gather in the millions to release their spores. IRL this little cluster was about 2 cm high.

Blowball umbrellas always fascinate me, especially because they are so delicate and small. A steady hand is essential for applying the drops. But with a little practice it will work after all. Have a nice Sunday for you and thank you for your interest in my pictures.

Just doing something different makes you think in other ways, how to shoot Spring Blossom on a windy day with rain coming down, just because it is raining does not mean photography stops.

I shot this against my monitor and a photo of the sky I had shot previously.

I then did an eleven shot focus stack carefully choosing my focus points to pick out various elements, I`m not entirely happy with it the Petals are a little bright for my liking but for now i`ll go with it until I find another subject.

Focus shift shooting using Nikon Z6II. Was a nice walk in nature, with morning fog.

This focus stacked macro image of a model railroad was created from 46 large raw files, blended in Photoshop. In order to be able to automate the photography to get a precise sequence of focused photographs under the control of my camera, I had to buy a new, electronically compatible macro lens (Nikon 105 mmf2.8 macro).

Sadly, my older Sigma EX 105 mm f 2.8 macro lens lacked the required electronics for this function. If anyone is looking for a terrific, used macro lens at a great price, please drop me a Flickr email. The lens is in perfect condition and produces sharp, high quality macros and doubles as a great portrait lens. You can see examples of the images I made with it in my flower and insect albums:

This Olivenit(1mm) is coverd in a little cave of light, white base mineral. It was difficult to get enough contrast in there. The best option was to use only a 5x Mitutoyo on MFT Sensor und HR-Modus for stacking.

This young lady came into my yard last spring and hung around for a week but then departed. I was hoping for a longer relationship but it was not to be.

Here I tried to focus stack two images using a macro lens. This is not easy outside since any movement of the flower ruins the image. This day it was calm and the lady remained still long enough for me to adjust the focus and reshoot. Photoshop did the rest.
