Started by Charles II in the 1680, by planting a double row of elm trees. The road was added by Queen Anne in 1710. There are 1,652 trees, each 30ft from each other. The path is just under 3 miles in length.

Well this has been a really weird road trip. Pretty bumpy at times. Very rarely smooth.
Are we there yet. SHUT-UP! Yes we are almost there.
Seriously? Now a flat tire?
Happy Truck Thursday

This photo reminds me of a quote from the novel Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll:
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.” —Chapter 6, Pig and Pepper

I took this image a few weeks back after we'd had new fences put in. The trees from the woodland gave the craziest of bokeh. Of course, I needed a focal point, why not one of my little hearts.
Happy Tuesday, stay cool, got ourselves an amber warning heatwave here in the UK.
I like cardigan and shorts weather personally, keeping my pups cool and my veggies watered.

An expanding plastic ball contraption. Part of a photo set. I plumped for a more colourful contraption.
Everyone has their own definition of what "Handmade" means to them and what they visualise those "types" in their mind. I have photographed here 2 distinctive polarities. Firstly you'll see a crafted shot of individual small pieces of paper positioned, fanned and curved to capture light and structure. (Then) Secondly, you'll see the finesse of "Handmade" with the skill of a master in watchmaking ... and of course with all photography with it likes and dislikes it's very much in the eye of the beholder.

Macro Mondays theme for the 24th August is Glass.
Throughout much of my macro photography I shoot on glass to get the available light ...
Please look through the series of photos; using light, some with reflection, refracted light, detail and point of view ... not all are macro but are a compilation of glass, light and detail.

I'll leave this for people to guess a while as to what it is but I think it's fairly self-explanatory?
