1971 Triumph Vitesse Mk.2 Overdrive.
Anglia Car Auctions, King's Lynn -
"V5 Present
MoT Exempt
Chassis number: HC57512DL
"The vendor purchased this 1971 Triumph Vitesse MkII around seven and a half years ago, as a project for his retirement. However, ill‑health now means he sadly needs to pass it on, with little work done save for some interior cleaning.
"The 1998cc six‑cylinder Triumph runs and drives but, having been not been used for at least six years, will require recommissioning and servicing. A new battery has recently been fitted. To the best of the vendor's knowledge, the car is original and as built, with no modifications. It's not been converted to run on unleaded fuel.
"The Vitesse was registered in January 1971 and is now showing 74,872 miles on its odometer. At its last MoT, in July 2014, the mileage was 74,863.
"The paperwork includes the V5C showing just two previous registered keepers, the 2014 MoT certificate plus various others back to 1986, a DVLA history document showing all previous owners, a service book with stamps from 1971 to 1976, a receipt for chassis welding dated April 2009, a new workshop manual for the Vitesse and GT6 and a new Vitesse MkII owner's handbook."
Sold for £5670 including premium.
