Oct 19 - I tried a few shots for this one; keyborad, the post, strange lettering on shop bags but in the end I chose to do a crossword instead, and it came out perfectly.

I was cleaning out my closet this weekend and came across Violet's baby blanket and Lucy's handkerchief. They both came with these items when I got them as puppies !!
Favorite word - Rescue
My youngest daughter and her girlfriend have three rescue dogs and three rescue cats. Mark and I have Delilah the Wonder Lab who is also a rescue dog. My oldest daughter Katie just received this beautiful baby last night. She is a two year old wire haired Dachshund who was abandoned with her four puppies in an empty apartment. Animal rescue is a very important issue in our family. I just took this photo of the new arrival this morning. She doesn't have a name yet but Katie is thinking about Ella. The dog has one white foot and it looks like she lost her shoe like Cinderalla.

Just the long dark road ahead, me and Markus drove down to Turku from Vaasa late Sunday night. It was quite peaceful when not taking the traditional route 8, but following a GPS navigator with outdated maps and missing some exits.
