“I write our names on the page.
I write our names in the sand.
I write our names on trees that will be cut
and benches that will be painted,
but what of it?
I will keep on writing our names
because in this world of ephemera (transience)
You and I are the only constant.”

Snow can still linger in our higher mountains even in the summertime. Here a seagull is flying high over the mountains that are covered with snow and mist.
Taken at Hagley falconry (uk) it was difficult to keep track of this guy as they move so fast, but I got lucky, and I hope you like the result…

Scenic view from above the ancient sandstone quarry site of Gebel al-Silsila, known by its ancient Egyptian name as 'Khenu' , which has been translated as 'The Place of Rowing'.
On the upper left a mighty falcon soars high in the sky wings spread wide as Horus, early in the pharaonic tradition.
I loved the dramatic cloud formation here over the Ottawa River at Remic Rapids! If you view large you can see Seagull Island directly below & above that is a view of The Parliaments in the downtown.
The jet’s waiting and the world’s wide open. No hurry, I'll board when I’m ready. My next stop? Wherever I please.

The snow has been quite heavy on most of the North Shore Mountains, including today. Some days they were very visible, today there was mist around the ones near us. I caught this shot just as a bunch of crows flew overhead.
Missing the seaside..
The cable cars at Llandudno are an experience :o) Amazing views!
Not perfect but I do quite like this shot. Reminds me of happy times.

This gorgeous male Cardinal fly high up, so it could safely watch me fill the bird feeders in my garden before coming down to have a snack!

Fifth and last image in this large bird series...
What a joy it was to capture this regal Bald Eagle, the iconic National Bird of the United States. I was glad it was close enough to get a good look on the bird.
Unfortunately it was it was a dull grey sky, so not a very interesting background. I've added the golden sky and clouds to take it to another level...
Thanks for all your views and comments on this series.
Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend, everyone!
