This was one of the Hawk jets flown by the RAF Red Arrows during the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024. I was happy with this shot because it captured the jet flying through the red and blue smoke that was already in the sky from a recent manauver.
English Rose of Virgin, a Boeing 747-400, G-VROS makes a medical diversion into Dublin on their VIR 16 flight from Orlando Florida to London Gatwick.
Delivered new to Virgin in March 2001, it flew with them until May 2020, like so many aircraft then stored due to the Covid-19 pandemic at Marana Pinal Air Park, Arizona, United States.
It may fly again, currently registered to Atlas Air.
in the interests of artistry, my image has been turned for this post. In real time, the raptor flew over head at speed from left to right.
I was in Hokkaido, Japan's most northerly main island. It was snowing at the time and the sky covered in bright clouds.
I hope this ventral shot has sufficient detail. It was a chance, spontaneous action - one of those 'engrossed in photographing one subject and not enough time to change camera settings to suit another' moments.
This black-eared kite was seen in an open area not so far from a river, but close to forest where many might be nesting if not on the wing.
I learned that this is the sub-species Milvus migrans lineatus found from Siberia, the Himalayas to northern India, northern Indochina, southern China and Japan.
Body length 50 cm.

Y los demás, al verlo tan dichoso, cundió la alarma, se dictaron normas, "No vaya a ser que sea contagioso", tratar de ser feliz de aquella forma.

These seagulls in flight look so ethereal, I thought that one of the song/music tracks called Etheric Messages(as background music) from one of my most favourite aritst Natacha Atlas would be perfect. (Maktub - meaning 'it is written' or it's destiny) - the track might be an acquired taste for some : )).
