As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects. Architecture always lends to abstraction if you know where to look. This photo was taken just the other day at a certain terminal at LAX.

Detroit Bridge, Erin Basin, Salford Quays
Bupa Place wasn't floating my boat with all that white light so while Muddy Boots UK looked to the stars for inspiration I looked to the gutter, or rather the basin.
Quite like a good abstract and the colours in this are more or less straight out of camera will minimal tweaking. If you still can't work it out, it's the inverted reflection of the bridge girders and spot lights.

Sometimes LE shots benefit from shorter exposure to bring out texture and sense of movement. This is shot with a 250mm lens at 1/8s, so not exactly LE, but figuring out the rhythm of the water making the water from previous wave pull back as a new wave breaks takes a long time. Nevertheless this is just such a moment.

For Mosaic Montage Monday theme of Fluid Forms is this montage of the young curled fern frond at the Dale Chihuly Exhibit at the Adelaide Botanic garden and an overlay of flowing lines and dots. Many of Dale Chihuly pieces exhibit flowing curls and curves too indicating fluidity. HMMM
