These two infrared shots of All saints Church, where captured with an old nikon D90 camera which has been converted to capture only IR light, this one has a Super Colour 590nm conversion, which allows more colour in, so you can adjust colour tones in post processing, as captured or B&W, i am tweaking colour adjustments at the moment and colour channel mixing/converting and getting some nice results ....

Well I am happy today. The sun is shining any my 4 year old cherry tree is looking utterly gorgeous, with lots of honey bees enjoying their first outing in warm weather.
I am actually spending the day baking for a friend's party tomorrow but could not resist sneaking out to stand under my favourite tree.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :)

Excerpt from Wikipedia:
The Flößerbrücke is a road bridge over the Main in Frankfurt am Main . It connects at Mainkilometer the Obermainanlage in the city center with the Deutschherrnufer in Sachsenhausen. The bridge crosses the Main at an angle of about 70 degrees to the river. It is also the only road bridge in downtown Frankfurt that is supported by a pylon .
The first raft bridge was built in 1964 as a temporary solution to accommodate traffic during the renovation of the Old Bridge to the west. The current bridge was built between 1984 and 1986.
The raft bridge is a one-way street in a northerly direction. The federal highway 3 runs over the bridge .

Flossing is good even if you don;t have any teeth! I have too many pics of Soras at different places and different times this yeat, but first time at the Arb! Between Sora Splashing, wading and foraging, I chose this one to educate kids!

Black and white re-edit of a previously published colour shot captured in October 2017. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend of photography - stay safe and keep those shutters clicking!
A photo taken earlier this morning of Ageratum houstonianum, commonly called floss flowers. To get a little closer to these tiny little button-like flowers, I used my prime 50mm lens with a 13mm extension tube.

HMM-- the theme for today, 8/17 is push/pull. found this theme particularly tricky since several of mine were trying to show the push or pull action, which is not easy when simultaneously trying to push the buttons on an iphone ~grin~, so i opted for no action. this may be the best macro of the four and it surprised me to discover that floss was more ribbon-y than thread-y.
"macro mondays" pushpull possibility

Sash (detail), India, 1776-1800, 6.315. I'm pretty sure this is silk floss embroidery on cotton. If I find the main information page at the Textile Museum, I'll link it. Here's where I saw it: museum.gwu.edu/indian-textiles-1000-years-art-and-design
Impressively well-preserved, considering it's the age of my country!
