I wanted to capture a few pics of Sicily running, and it was extremely challangeing. She moved so fast focusing was next to impossible.

This is one of the Boer Goats at the park I visited yesterday morning, it's a young female. All goats are lovely but I think that the ears of the Boer Goats are particularly cute.

This adorable white tailed deer fawn was being bothered by pesky flies. I captured it with its ears flopped over and tail swatting the flies away.

OK ... admit it ... how many of you are feeling about how this young domestic lamb is feeling? LOL. Though I don't experience that TGIF feeling anymore (everyday is a Friday for me), I do remember it well. I think that this image personifies it quite well. How about you?

I absolutely can't look at this image and not smile. Knowing the silly antics of these lambs well, I also can't help but laugh. To me, it's a great "feel good" shot. Hope that it made you smile or laugh. :-)

Happy Friday for sure! Thanks for stopping by to view.

So I pulled up to shoot a dry creek bed and spotted this Kangaroo not far from the car staring at me very intently. She really stood out, not for the rather oversized joey she was carrying, but for her ears. I've never seen a skippy hold its ears like that, they always hold them upright like the joey. But anyway, I took a few photos before I tried to get closer and I'm glad I did because as soon as I tried, she disappeared into the bush and I didn't see her again.

Meet Chia, one year old toy-poodle. He is such a fun spirit, and loves to fly! We didn't know he also loves to chase giant waves of Lake Huron, until we took him to Pinery Provincial Park. Thank you for your visit and have a great summer dear friends.

Most notable are the long hanging ears, which are used in the original home to regulate heat. The blood flow through the ears emits heat to the environment, thereby reaches back cooled in the body.

Last Saturday was full of entertainment, after the photo walk came the zombie walk in the evening. This little cutie was watching all the "characters" arrive and the look on his face is priceless as he spots a few zombies approaching! (SEE THEM BELOW)

My boy, diving for sticks in the ginormous leaf pile in my front yard. Can you tell he had fun? Haha.

It was super hard to pick though, so you can see the contenders next to this in my photostream if you wish. :)

I went with this because I don't have many action shots in his set, and well, it looks like the year is coming to a close so soon!

Where there is a field of flowers there will I be with my dog(s) taking pictures. I could not resist the urge to walk into the fields and enjoy being completely surrounded by wildflowers.

I braved the raging spring pollens to go find this beautiful field of pink owl's clovers. The hills are literally covered in blooming wildflowers like lupine, vetch, clover, poppies, blue dicks, and more; all in so many different colors.

I apologize for my relative inactivity on flickr of late. I keep thinking more time will materialize in my life, but then it doesn't. I hope to catch up on everyone's photos soon.

If you're new to photography, try to resist bunny photos; they will lead you down the rabbit hole!

Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean

Sleep in peace when the day is done, that's what I mean

And this old world is a new world

And a bold world

For me"

At about two to three years of age, young lions are no longer tolerated by their family ― the pride. Their mothers are usually ready for their next litter of cubs, which often drives them out to become nomads. This mostly happens to young males, but it happens to females as well; if the pride is too large and has difficulty supporting itself, young females will also be driven to become nomads.

This driving out of young lions is vital to the survival of the pride. For females, it keeps the pride at a size that requires less support. For males, there are two other advantages. First, there is less competition for the prime male over mating in the pride. Second, it helps avoid incest. By leaving the pride, the young males will move to mate with other lionesses rather than those related to them, thus the gene pool is kept healthy.

After being kicked out, young male lions either roam alone or in small bands - often with their brothers or cousins. At such age, their only option is to survive the unknown lands or perish. In fact, this is the time when most of them die; only about one in eight male lions make it to adulthood. Those who do survive and find a new territory have to take over another pride. This means fighting with the resident males - frequently to death. That’s yet another evolutionary challenge for them to stay alive.

Bussi is a tween beauty queen. While she knocks judges dead in the evening gown and bathing suit portions of the competition, ultimately it's her rendition of "The Greatest Love of All" that brings down the house every time. As the song reaches its climax, Bussi flaps her large ears and flies through the audience until she stops singing the song's final note.

This is the youngest of the goats at the farm in a local park. She was born in early summer and is still quite small. The little cutie allowed me to take some photos of her during my last visit at the park. I think she hoped that I had some treats for her but I didn't and it's not allowed to feed the animals there anyway.

My image shows a close-up of an English Bulldog. The dog has a wrinkled face with a prominent, broad nose and expressive, dark eyes. Its fur is a mix of brown and white, with the white fur primarily around its face and chest. The background is blurred. This is an an outdoor setting in a park. There are green and brown tones. The bulldog has a serious, almost solemn expression.

With a close-up focus, a bulldog's expressive face and characteristic wrinkles are captured in detail. The background features a natural, blurred setting that enhances the dog's striking features.

This neighbor's dog loves to climb on some lumber, look over the six foot fence and longingly watch my granddaughters playing in their back yard. Very friendly, curious dog, but sadly he seems lonely on his side of the fence.
