Precast concrete floors are more economic for shorter floor spans (up to 6m) and light loading situations, e.g. Housing / residential construction, while Prestressed flooring units can span longer distances and take heavier loads, thus more suited to commercial projects.
Block & Beam floors are more commonly used in ground floor construction over short spans and where access for heavy plant machinery is limited.

I've brought home samples in the past, but never could decide on a color. Not only is it deciding on the color, but I also need to decide whether I want laminate or wood. Ay, ay, ay . . . and then my most important decision --- do I really want to part with the very very light, almost white carpet and tile I now have for something darker???
