These fritillaries caught my eye on a ramble around Cotehele House, Cornwall, a few weeks ago. I ended up resting the camera and 70-300 mm lens on my rucksack on a low wall while trying to selectively focus on some of the more dominant flowers. Thanks for viewing.
With all that is going on, I needed just a few minutes of quality camera-critter time yesterday.
The Swans of Plumb Lake were more than accommodating and seemed to flirt with the lens at times.

Don't know why they do it. This is the third year in row I have seen an Osprey pair nesting on top of a large sprinkler system in a farmer's field. The system is moved regularly; yet the birds stay there and raise their family. Last year they had three chicks; don't know yet how many they have this year. Kudos to the farmer and his workers for ensuring the safety of the birds while operating the system. Sometime the system is wheeled closer to the road, like this time, providing an opportunity to photograph them at a lower height. Keswick, Ontario
