Harvesting my lemon balm today, I suddenly had this nice little guest. A kind of baby grashopper.

1st shot of a little series.

The last time Scott was up visiting, he forgot some of his camera stuff here and as I worked my way through the housework today, I came across one of my favourite photography props!

The crystal ball is back!!! Boom baby!

I'm way more excited about this than I ought to be, I mean honestly, I could have bought myself one years ago, but I must have known he'd forget it here eventually!

Now if nature would warm up and pretty up, we could be on a roll!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Argiope bruennichi participate in sexual cannibalism. The females of this species, typically much larger than the males, almost always consume their male counterparts after copulation

That moment when the hair flip and the attitude align perfectly brings such bold confidence to the frame. It also doesn’t hurt to have shiniest boots and own the room.

Posting a series of shots after talking to some of the guys as they landed on the beach, knowing I had been shooting. I'm hoping they'll find these. Merci for a very entertaining and exhilarating couple of hours!

We are back from our trip away and took way too many happy snaps so hopefully we won't bore you too much!

Flipped this pic which one do you prefer we couldn't decide? Original below.

A friend said she had to go to bed at this hour when she was little... I think it looks like the ocean flipped and got thrown into the sky..

Hope you like it partner!

At my sister's suggestion, I have flipped the Condo buildings, reflected in the Stormwater Management Pond.. I deleted the original, by mistake. 😏

This time around I wanted to explore *color* using the mirror lens filter, but instead of objects I opted for color paper arrangements as subjects. This is sheets from a box of origami papers.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊

Heavy rainfall yesterday and early this morning left a giant puddle in Humber Bay Shores Park West.

Fletcher Gate, Nottingham.

A sea turtle near Hikkaduwa who after only seven days of hatching, was about to be released to the sea with about 100 of his buddies.

These rare sea turtles have a heritage dating back more than 100 million years (basically they were hanging around with the dinosaurs).

In Southern Sri Lanka some benevolent organisations offer locals 10 rupees (about 10 cents) for each turtle egg they find and bring in. They then keep and hatch the eggs and release the blighters out to the sea. The program endeavours to save them from extinction. They face drams such as being caught in fishing nets, their eggs being eaten as a traditional local delicacy and of course general pollutiuon is another envoronmental hazard for them.

Apparently only 1 in 1000 of the released sea turtles will ultimately survive to reproduce. Terrible stats I know but then I guess that is nature. Anyway, I hope this little chap is one of the 1 in a 1000.

In film photography what you see in red on negative turns out blue on positive prints! This is an image of blue water, when inverted in photoshop it turns boiling red.

It only takes a snap for us humans to flip, from calm loving to angry beast.

My dog likes to drop a ball in a pail, lift it with his mouth until it’s flipped over and the ball falls out, chases down balll and repeat.
