"Like a ship in the night
You passed along the highways of my life
And now my mind you're always in
And the ten-thirty flight will soon be headed my way
As she sails across the skyway of Berlin "

it was a tiring 2+ weeks being on the go and working. despite all the fun that i had on the side, the exhaustion really gets to you. although i was dreading the 20 hour flight home, i was focused on finding a way to make that time fly faster.
the flight was packed, with many of my countrymen who have found well paying jobs in other countries, so i kind of expected it to be a pretty rowdy flight back home. and i cant blame them, cos these hard working men havent seen their families for years and now were on their way home. so getting the flight attendant's attention would be a pretty big problem for me, when my chosen remedy to fast forward the flight home were multiple gin tonics.
it was when when everyone was settled and the flight was off the ground when things started turning for the better. i was chilling and going apeshit crazy on tetris when i was handed a warm towel, and that was when i saw camille.
she was beautiful, no doubt about it. but she was very kind and accomodating. even after several consecutive orders of whatever it was i wanted from her, she came up to me with a smile. right then i found myself in a situation that i have always wanted to be in: meet a really nice person on the plane. and no, it was not because i wanted to hit on her or get her number (i was able to deduce early on, that she was "out of the game" because she had this huge ass diamond wedding ring).
eventually when things calmed down and the lights were slightly dimmed, i walked back to the crew where i saw camille and some of the other flight attendants were resting. we chatted for awhile and i asked them all if i could take their portraits. they were surprised but happy to oblige. so i took them and i was content.
it was always a challenge for me to go up to strangers to ask for their portraits, thats why this photo meant a lot to me. perhaps a stepping stone for possible projects for the future. but these people were great and some of the best "strangers" that were kind enough for a portrait to be taken. now, i know the the photos arent that focused, so ill have to pin the blame on those gin tonics. hehehe
so, Camille, Lily and Thomas, cheers to you guys if you get to see this. you were wonderful, wonderful hosts. thank you!
+2 in the comments!
i fell in love with this title after seeing it used in this.check out his stream if you havent. its very real and simple.
made me think..if your ever in the position where you ask someone this, you are giving more of yourself then the other person might realize,at least for me i dont trust easy, and for me to ask for a promise is very intimate, very trusting, very believing.
My sister,i was stuck on the blue tint really like it :) though it took me a bit to get the highlights on her face the way i wanted it. from a few days ago.

This is the final call for boarding, or perhaps just the final call before boarding.
The vast windows at Frankfurt Airport are a dream for the aviation enthusiast, whether its up close to the plane or perhaps capturing the atmosphere both sides of the window.

An Air Creebec Beechcraft BEH 1900D lands at YUL. One of my favorite small planes to fly in.
*Airplanes 101* (See Airplanes 101 Set)
Name: Beech 1900D
Manufacturer: Beech (USA)
Main Role: small capacity, short range regional propellor aircraft
Basic design: twin engined bottom fuselage mounted, single aisle narrowbody propellor airplane.
Photo: A 1994 built BEH-1900D flying with North American indian own airline Air Creebec named aftere the Quebec Cree Indian tribe. This is a rugged popular small capacity regional plane used widely on very short hops out of major airports around the world. It's noisy, small, actually pleasant inside, has very large passenger windows and barrels down the runway like a bat out of hell.. you get a real sense of "flying" when you take one of these planes.
