After months of planning and deciding where to go to take the shot of steel wool burning I just went out - drove close to the cemetery a few kilometres away and took the shot. This was a result of the 3rd attempt. i know - it's far from perfect but just a start. I must say I immensly enjoyed taking the shot - it was fun to see those sparks flying around while moving the whisk around. I'll definitely do it more than just once - changing scenery - discovering new places to shoot it - definitely somewhere over the water.

I had a hard time post processing - mainly because of light pollution - the background was too light. Finally just used RawTherapee to tweak it - originally WB was not so good on automatic so had to work on it. I guess I could do it much better but hey it's my first time.

Initialement je cherchais, tout en faisant ma vaisselle, une idée du côté de Meddle (Pink Floyd) mais cette chanson de Téléphone est venue me titiller l'oreille...

Photo réalisée avec uniquement des objets dont je dispose dans ma cuisine : pour l'herbe, une éponge-grattante jaune tricotée par mon amie Liliane, et pour l'arrière-plan, une boule de paille de fer à récurer.

This tiny handmade porcelain vase of lilies is no more than 3 cm (1 1/2") as shown in the photo.

I collected 12 of these beauties, a different flower for each month of the year. Each unique in its creation and handpainting.
