Funkmaster Flex

Funkmaster Flex is one of hip-hop's most recognizable DJs and a legend in the industry. In 1992, as the genre was enjoying a resurgence in popularity, he launched the first-ever hip hop radio show on New York City’s HOT97 radio station. Today, Funkmaster Flex’s show is so influential that you are said to have made it in the hip-hop world when he plays one of your tracks. In addition to his radio career he has released numerous mixtapes and has worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Ja Rule, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J and more. Flex has also enjoyed a career in television, appearing often on Yo! MTV Raps in the early 90s. He combined his love for music and his love for cars in a show he later hosted, called Ride with Funkmaster Flex, on Spike TV. ESPN would later create a show called All Muscle with Funkmaster Flex, which focused on custom cars while interviewing athletes from the NBA, NFL and MLB. That show gave rise to a new one in late 2007 called Car Wars with Funkmaster Flex.

Flex continues to host the radio show, which airs nationally through syndication. The Funk Flex exploding bomb sound effect has become synonymous with his persona. His website In Flex We Trust enjoys millions of page views per day.

I tried to get the focus on its eyes, but the angle of the shot made it extremely difficult to see the viewfinder. I was essentially shooting blind. I did, however, get the composition right, just not the focus.

Oh, well. It was still worth posting I figured. The focus is on its "arm muscles", so I figured calling it "Flex" would be a good way to fix my error in focus by changing the name of the photo to fit the focus. I hope it worked!
