Still flexible!
Shellac holding up on cream rubber Mafac half hood. Several very thin layers in an almost watery consistency, applied with cotton cloth. After drying, I dulled down the finish using fine steel wool.
A project to design a 5.1 sound theatre system, complete with speakers, sub woofer and DVD player. Owing to time constraints, it was only required to have produced a full render/presentation board for the stand alone speaker.
Unfortunately, due to having an interview and an electronics exam in the last week as well as a long running injection moulding project, this board was perhaps the only good part of the assignment! From my finished sketches to a fully finished board took about a day, but would have been less had I not struggled with ImageStudio so much.

Blue Mountain and Reading locomotive #425, Pacific class (4-6-2).
This is the second version of this locomotive that I've built, a near complete rebuild from the ground up. The only remaining piece from the original model is the front section of the boiler.
She's powered by two PF motors in the tender, and is fully track compatible with a fully functional 4 wheeled pony truck. The only custom items are the BBB XL drivers that have been painted blue to match the prototype, and the wire inside the flex tubing to hold its shape.

The entire chair is cut on a CNC router, then sanded and assembled without the need for glue or hardware. The seat and back rest flex when sat upon, creating a comfortable seating surface akin to upholstery.

Ciro-flex is back from its wartime hiatus! The reference to a "print-size" viewfinder is a reminder that aside from 35mm cameras, many photographers simply made contact prints (1:1 in size to the negative, not enlarged).
Note some small styling changes to the nameplate and focus knob versus the prewar model.

This is the size of lettering font we like to see on the bow of ships! St.Johns registered Flex Darwin makes a steady pace inbound on the narrows of the Clyde and about to pass Clydebank College. It must have been my lucky day cargo ships coming straight up from the open sea. Sometimes it can be infuriating when ships drop anchor downstream for days. A nice blue sky would have set this off instead of the grey murk that can sit over the Clyde for days.
