Mathilda is modeling a sailor pantsuit I made just for her! I have wanted to make this pattern since Vol. 6 came out, but knew it would be time consuming. Marla inspired me to just go ahead and make it. I loves it!

Tour boat, Fleet Week, San Francisco. All the tour boats were full. Normal for one of the busiest weekends during the year here. There was a ball game; shows and displays at Ft. Mason; and the Blue Angels - to name just a few events and attractions. Too bad Muni can't get it together. They start telling people several days ahead to take public transportation because of the traffic congestion - then have less buses than normal on the busiest routes, like from Golden Gate Bridge. It took me from 4:00 to 6:45 to get home on Saturday. There were gaps of over 45 minutes between buses, and when they came they were packed like sardines - very dangerous for both the drivers and the passengers! I let several overstuffed buses go by because I couldn't fit in with my camera. Besides there were mothers with children needing to get home. Then because I was chilled to the bone I jammed my way onto one through the back door. Not a pleasant experience. This year I got there much earlier than usual to avoid that mess on the way. But going back it was the “same old, same old nightmare.” My guess is because the city 'officials' don't ride public transportation that they can't relate and frankly don't care. Whatever the reason it's the same every year.
