Caboose #576 was one of a five car order (#P-7411) built by the Magor Car Corporation in February 1931 for the Lehigh & New England Railroad. This car spent most of its life on the L&NE until it was sold to the neighboring Northampton & Bath Railroad in 1960. Renumbered to 103, the N&B used the car primarily for maintenance-of-way. At some point in its career on the N&B, the cupola was removed along with all the lockers, bunks, cabinets and the coal stove was replaced with a more modern oil furnace. In an attempt to preserve the car, the N&B installed a new skin of plywood to the exterior of the original tongue and groove siding. The car came to the NHRR sometime in the 1970's where it has been shifted from one siding the next.

This car is currently located in New Hope and is undergoing a major restoration in cooperation with the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad volunteer crew. The plan is to restore the car to it's original appearance.
