The photograph captures a vibrant scene at the Naschmarkt flea market in Vienna. Several people, a mix of adults and young adults, are intently examining a table laden with various antique and vintage items. The table displays a diverse collection of objects, including brassware, small picture frames, and other trinkets. The people are dressed in casual, contemporary clothing, suggesting a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. The market is outdoors, with tents providing shade and creating a lively, colorful backdrop. The overall impression is one of a bustling and engaging urban marketplace.

This one was 2-2.5 mm in length.

The Monastiraki Flea Market, at the center of what was once ancient Athens, is an experience not to be missed. Take your time wandering through Avissynias Square, stopping at antique shops as you walk through a maze of street vendors selling both junk and gems

This photo captures a lively scene at a bustling flea market. A man with a distinctive style – sporting a beard, long hair pulled back, and a t-shirt with a graphic design – is intently looking through a monocular. He is surrounded by a crowd of people browsing through numerous stalls laden with diverse items. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, typical of a popular flea market.

This beautiful water candlestick made at Lindshammar Glassworks and with the signing of the designer I found at a flea market some weeks ago. It´s about 35 cm high. And the price?

40 SEK not even 4 Euro

It started out as a poorly composed low key image and I post processed the crap out of it, imho. I like it now.

Inside a flea market tent. In case anyone was wondering the guns on display were non functioning antiques and for what this guy was asking I could go to a store and get a brand new rifle with a good scope and have some real fun at a range.

Thank-You

Do you ever buy something on a whim, not because you need it but just because it suits your fancy? I have been known to indulge myself, but usually only when visiting charity shops or the flea market. My photo includes an example of each, resting on a chair I have been told belongs at the charity shop. It’s over 40 years old and I’m not parting with it just yet. The little glass pebbles were sitting on the “free” table at work where people put things they want to give away.

I think this collection qualifies for the daily challenge at “We’re Here!” -- “the wabi-sabi aesthetic”. The wabi-sabi aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete, and typically includes asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, etc.

And for the Weekly Theme Challenge - “What Suits Your Fancy.”

This is my image for category 56, “Imperfect Beauty” in the group 120 pictures in 2020.

The wooden posts around the car park at Catcott are offering up some nice little treats lately, this fella is about 2mm, pretty sure I've got the ID right on this one, but it might be P.nemorum .
