Oops, forgot to change my shoes@ Hello Kitty House

In the first picture I state;

When I can’t hold a camera steady my in camera and

in lens stabilisation can be defeated,

they are image savers and makers,

but I also need not to over test their

marvellous modern miracles.

Please do not compare this post production text to that photographed on site

with unsteady camera operator.

My human flaws are really bothering me, but equipment is performing minor miracles at times. This sign in a 35mm frame handheld from a zoom lens is spoiled by unintentional camera shake. There are some great images made with Intentional Camera Movement. This is me not setting shutter speed high enough with corresponding Aperture and ISO. Technology does not cure everything, it can at times be an almost unbelievable boon, not so here. IBIS as In-Body Image Stabilization and lenses with OSS that’s Optical SteadyShot Image stabilization are giving me access to lower ISO and to more creative control of Aperture and Shutter Speed. My ill shaking self got to me again and in editing this picture that at f.8, 1/250 of a Second with digital simulated 100 ISO the resulting file was shaken, stirred and spoiled with the chosen point of focus almost slightly spun around in the RAW file.

The text above was also used to accompany pictures where the same sign was in sharp relief with 400 ISO.

Hardknott mentioned in this Sonnet.

William Wordsworth

From, The River Duddon, A Series Of Sonnets, 1820. Numbered XVII 17

A dark plume fetch me from yon blasted yew,

Perched on whose top the Danish Raven croaks;

Aloft, the imperial Bird of Rome invokes

Departed ages, shedding where he flew

Loose fragments of wild wailing, that bestrew

The clouds and thrill the chambers of the rocks;

And into silence hush the timorous flocks,

That, calmly couching while the nightly dew

Moistened each fleece, beneath the twinkling stars

Slept amid that lone Camp on Hardknot’s height,

Whose Guardians bent the knee to Jove and Mars:

Or, near that mystic Round of Druid frame

Tardily sinking by its proper weight

Deep into patient Earth, from whose smooth breast it came!

"How cold can it get going from the car into the building where the dentist office is? I know it is 20 degrees but shouldn't be that bad. It is a short walk...right?"

Truth: It IS that bad and worse. It is not a short walk, it is a trek thru an Antarctica parking lot in midday. Lucky they did not find a frozen girl preserved in mid-step, for the ice age.

A drive-by shooting from 42nd Street, facing Times Square. I tried swinging around so I could capture these mounted police officers again, but they were gone before I could get back. Yes, I was driving, and driving safety comes first, so I shot without looking, through the closed window. The officers and their steeds were probably just being "turned out" for the night, to patrol Times Square. I wish I could have retaken this, but like most things, we rarely get more than one chance. Pandemic curiosity. I never got out of the car, (116/366) One photo a day, Times Square, NYC -- April 25, 2020

"What are you doing up that tree Linda?" I asked.

"I had the most wonderful plan to get everyone more honey."

"You say "had" Linda, what has gone wrong?"

"Well instead of endless walking about looking for those silly bee hotels or paying a fortune at the store, I thought that if I got to where the bees always come to get the ingredients, I could speak to them and ask where they are going. Simple, and would save hours of searching."

"I see, so what is the problem?"

"I think it is all down to language as the bees don't appear to speak bear and I don't speak bee. That however is not all for I think they are trying to show me the way, but they won't walk and I can't fly."

"I see your problems Linda, what are you going to do?"

"Sit for a while and enjoy this blossom, then climb down and go to the supermarket, they should have honey there."

My 2nd sewing project was this jumpsuit. I had been planning to make this for a year now but got lazy. It was intentionally made for Chandra but we had few problems putting it on, so i gifted it to Grace since she's on LIV body. But hey, she's working it!!!

In tacking a macro picture of the, “ZOOM H2N Handy Recorder,” I made this image which is too shallow in focus to use, but revealed a red thread. I had not seen the thread til I was editing the macro pictures. The area photographed here was approximately 31mm. This picture of the word, “ZOOM,” is taken with a f2.8 100mm macro lens and 52mm of extension tubes. The picture is flawed and in the process of the flaw it shows the red thread very nicely indeed.

If you do this

If you do this you'll never have a chance to try again

If you do this you'll never have a chance to try

It's the same sound

Same sting

The same collapse

Of every thing

It's the same size,

Same blade,

The same lie

My way

My face

My heart

My race

I'm a mistake

My way

My face

My heart

My race

I'm such a disgrace

You're perfectly flawed

You're perfectly incomplete

Like cracks in the glass

And flames full of grass

You're perfectly flawed

You're perfectly incomplete

Let them come near when

Perfection's the key you need

Let the... Loose, just try again

Let the... Loose, just try again

Its the same doubt,

The same dream

It's the same sabotage

'Cause I'm the enemy

It's the same night

Same day

It's the same parasite,

Feeding on the betrayal

My way

My face

My heart

My race

I'm…

A change of pace here with a song I wrote about 30 years back when I was a better singer too. In the background are images from NASA. the lyrics are here too:

Cosmos – the Carl Sagan Song

Long ago way back there came a big BANG!!

The cosmos lit up and the heavens they rang,

Gasses and masses went whirling through space

And finally gave birth to this ol human race.

CHORUS: O Chaos and order the natural law, In harmony working without any flaws but the most amazing fact of it allIs the fact that we’re able to reason at all.

Electrons and molecules whirl through me

We’re all wild and invisible atomic seas,

Each one of us part of this vast mystery

Circling faster and faster to let it all be.

CHORUS

Like Columbus before us we sail on to Mars,

Finding oceans on Pluto and Goldilocks stars.

With each new discovery, new questions are born.

From stardust we come, and in love we are formed.

CHORUS

Design from a carpet I ordered that had a defect in the print. The company sent a different carpet and told me to keep this one; so now I have carpet in my studio!

The boardwalk in Port Aflred runs through the centre of town at the duckpond - although there was not a duck to be seen but plenty of rubbish and plastic bags and bottles and cans. In addition the board walk is collapsing quite dramatically. It would be easy to fix with some determined effort but as you see there has been none. I went into one of the offices nearby to change my lens and was urged to take photos to send to the local newspaper. A shame. Shame on the municipality

Everyone has their flaws.

Live with it.

So I just thought I should upload something, and this was all I really had. But today, I should be taking some photos, if I can find a good enough spot to take them. I'm going to just try my back yard first.

I really miss Parker.

I'm probably starting a 365 soon.

And I got tagged, so here goes nothing.

1. I feel invisible everyday in class, and sometimes I want to burst into tears just so someone will finally ask what is wrong.

2. I just read Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, and I'm begging for September to come faster so that I can read the next book.

3. I'm getting very discouraged lately in my photography.

4. My parents have really been upsetting me lately.

5. I got my bangs cut.

6. I'm really tired of people not supporting Parker and I in our relationship. Whether or not we are not in the same city, love is love and just because long distance doesn't work for you doesn't mean it isn't possible for someone else.

7. The people I call my friends will never understand me.

8. I really need more money for photography props.

9. I miss talking to certain people, a lot.

10. I wish I lived back in Birmingham, or even where Parker is, because I'm sick and tired of this damn country scene. There is never anything to do.

P.S. If anyone has white-feathered angel wings, they can send to me so I can borrow them for a shoot, that would be amazing. Message me if you do?

I miss photography so much.
