Here is the Rose flat-green bowls team, having just won the 1981 Gainsborough News Shield trophy.
The picture is taken on one of the two greens, in front of the Bowls pavillion (now demolished), I think.
I can ID a few. Back row, left "Jock" Greenan, fifth from left is I think Dave Hempsall. Front row, Middle (with shield) Ernie Hill, then Ken Markham and then Ralph Walker (my Dad).
They were the red-hot team at the time, winning the shield 5 or 6 times over about 10 years.
