Here are two of the flatbed wagons from the new (June 2014) Blue cargo train. I have converted them to be 7 studs wide in order that they fit in with all the rest of my rolling stock. The cattle wagon I have built as is because it is pretty much 7 studs wide anyway given the over hang of the gates at the side. Also I have built the engine as stock as well. I may think about building it in a 7 wide format one day, but if I do it is likely to be a completly new version as I like to keep the stock engines as they came more or less. I am going to add lights to it when they arrive in the post and have tiled bits of it to make it smooth like all my other stuff. In fact just noticed I have forgotten to put the modified tiles of the end gates on the Blue wagon! Must go and do that right away. Oh yes, I also found that the big green cable drums fit better onto the palettes if you give them an extra stud width between the gates.

Most of the fireworks are staged on three flat bed trucks that are driven onto the bridge just before show time.
Max Carl Otto Wexelblatt is having a hard time finding just the right spot to sleep these days, as the weather is rather hot. I told him (or rather tried to tell him) to lie down somewhere kinda logical or at least not in the way. A bit later I found him on my flatbed scanner, Zzzzzz-ing away. I think he may have got the semantic background mashed up with something else ... Whaddayagonnado? Aaaah! At least he appreciates and uses my gizmo's! Wish I could say that of everyone around here!
It was a busy day, mowing and other yard cleanup, then delivery of new bags of mulch the same time the recycling truck came for a pickup.
Another Majorette "Volkswagen" series casting technically available in UK Asda stores but one I haven't been unable to find until going to France.
Majorette have clearly been busy maximising their T1 casting with a flurry of different body types, some predictably based on the iconic Microbus and others a bit left field like this Double Cab Flatbed. Rather Hot Wheels in its appearance thanks to that large flame logo but has features alien to Mattels blue brand such as separate roof mounted parts and working suspension. Its retro Fuchs alloy wheels are a very neat touch too.
