I studied ballet from the time I was 3 or 4 until I turned 18. Every year in the Spring I competed in what felt like 80 bzillion festivals. This pink tutu was for one of the solo numbers. I think I was 10 or 11 here judging from the ear piercing. Dad always wanted to document the outfits but I know I was always a little grumpy about it which shows on my face here. Hee!

me, 3rd grade "book report" on Sacagawea (family legend is that we're related -- on my dad's dad's side -- to Clark of Lewis & Clark fame)
My mom made the costume by dyeing a bed sheet and drawing on it with markers (I think. mom?). The belt is actually from Guatemala? And I love my awkward pose and the dirty white keds.

I am really happy when it rains! when other cali people say "Its horrible outside" I say "Its beautiful out!" 12. I can sing. I have performed in front of audiences. Been in musical plays as a child. I was in a Choir in high-school. I was briefly a lead singer of a extremely obscure rock band (we played one show and then broke up...lol). I am an Alto ....I love to sing #music tunes from many genres... I enjoy karaoke and yes there are youtube video's of me singing. 🎼
13. I love #hearts <3 I dot the "i" in my name with a heart and when write notes to my friends I dot all the lower case "i"'s with hearts. 💖
14. I love parties!!!!! especially costume parties.
15. I am shy around people I dont already know or barely know...or someone I knew but haven't seen in a loooong looong time ... since I have worked in the retial industry I learned to fake it pretend to be "on" all the time...it was draining. 😌
#FlashbackFriday to the time I went to Cuba and roamed the streets of Old Havana during sunset and the blue hour. I felt like a traveller in time, seeing this old 1950s classic car in front of the church, as the street lights started coming on. Shot originally in color, I think the black and white processing gives a much better feel of how noirish the whole old town Havana felt.

Flashback Friday Group Picture
My BF was the girl in the light cardy over dress and long socks. I think her name might have been Shannon.
I have a freaky memory, and I could still tell you who was the bully, who still had 'toileting' accidents, and etc.
Which is pretty good considering we moved town a lot.
I think remembering was my way of holding on to some sense of reality.
If I could remember people, then they really did exist. And hanging onto the memory of old friends make it easier when I was sad and lonely and trying to make new ones ...
Issues, so many issues...
And I was 4yrs old.
