Striker Bill Dearden features on the cover of a 16-page Sheffield United programme (6p) issued in April 1973 for a visit to Bramall Lane by First Division rivals Coventry City. A 19,992 crowd saw Blades win 3-1. The goalkeeper captured diving at Dearden's feet is Crystal Palace's John Jackson.

A música escolhida para o flash mob foi "You can dance" do Abba.
This is what happens when you decided to throw umbrella, flash, and holder set and fail to catch it on its way down.
I got a little over ambitious and threw it a little too high which caused the wind to catch it a little bit and made it very difficult to catch, especially with one hand preoccupied with another flash :)
Fortunately I had a cheapie flash (Canon 430EZ) in there which survived the fall.

I got Kevin to take some goofy shots of me in the back yard as well, since I already had the lights set up.
The cigarette is just a prop, I don't smoke. :)

The water roared down a canyon and across our road in a place where just past August two people died in a flash flood. The park officials made us wait for about an hour until they waved us through.
Fill Flash HSS made easy. Put the camera in MANUAL mode. (You might even want to measure the in-falling light (incident light metering) in order to set a proper speed and aperture on the camera. This will help you to disregard a bright or dark background and such). Use the camera +/- correction to change the TTL flash output to your liking. In MANUAL mode the +/- camera setting won't change the basic exposure (aperture and shutter speed are unchanged), but will only affect the flash light. You don't HAVE TO use HSS flash - only if the shutter speed is faster than normal SYNC speed - otherwise you can use a normal TTL flash mode.
Please note that all the MINUS and the ZERO settings (4 top shots) make very nice final exposures.
Especially useful for group portraits and such, where the ambient light don't change much. Not for casual snap shots, naturally.

EIGHT Electricity vehicles at the substation near the bottom of my garden, on December 15th 2011.
The maintenance man at the Rest Home on the next corner rang up to ask why the power kept on dipping on this day.
"There is NO FAULT in your area", the operative said.
Meanwhile I had taken this photo as I went to the shops. NO fault, eh? They erected a tent over the substation, so perhaps it was just a festive drinks party.
So when I visited the home later in the day I showed the pic. He rang up again and was told once more "There is NO FAULT in your area"! Meanwhile the residents were having to put up with being half in the dark unexpectedly and repeatedly.
The following week in the paper it was reported it was a fuse. That's why we needed eight vehicles.
Not a good pic, but an interesting true story. Just shows that 'record shots' can be important.
