German weapon with both a flamethrower and assault rifle.

A couple of Chinese soldiers, one of them armed with a flamethrower are fighting the Japanese during the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The Second Sino-Japanese War was a conflict between the Empire of Japan and the Republic of China. The Chinese used flamethrowers against the Japanese, especially the US M1A1 and later the M2 flamethrowers.

Overall. I’m quite happy with how this picture turned out, especially the flame effect.

Coinciding with Germany’s march across western Europe and takeover of France was turmoil in Britain’s political system as Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain stepped down, making way for the renowned Winston Churchill to take control of the position and rally Britain’s people in their fight against Germany. In honor of this momentous event, BrickWarriors is introducing British Flametrooper accessories today:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Packard-Bentley

The Packard-Bentley "Mavis" is a vintage racing car built by VSCC member Chris Williams.[1] It is powered by a 42 litre Packard 4M-2500 V-12, developing 1,500 bhp (1,100 kW), from a World War 2 PT boat.[2]

The car debuted at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power in July 2010, and is planned to become a regular appearance at VSCC events alongside Williams' other Bentley special, the Napier Bentley. When interviewed about it, Williams claimed the car has been light-heartedly criticised as the "biggest automotive waste of time, money and engineering expertise ever built".

The car is based on a 1930 Bentley 8-litre chassis, although it is highly modified. The car also has 24 exhaust pipes, however it only has 12 cylinders, contrary to some rumours; this is because the engine is a twin-port design. The steering column is offset and angled to allow it to clear the huge engine block, and the fake torpedoes strapped to the side of the car are actually oil tanks.

With the matt-black paint and v-shaped grille, the large size of the car means it drew much attention at its first event. With the amount of torque produced by the engine (2,000 foot-pounds (2,700 N·m)), the rear tyres can be made to create large volumes of smoke upon launch, whilst the 24 exhaust stubs emit clouds of smoke and streamers of flame. Unsurprisingly, the car is a very popular spectator attraction, both static and whilst being driven.

Yeah, more figs. I liked building the droid because I got to use tan and bluish-grey. :D

The engineer is quite complicated, but I'm not sure about the backpack. Either way, I think they're pretty neat. Enjoy! :3

My name is Wally West, and I’m the fastest man alive!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Breaking news! The Mayor of Keystone City has been rushed to the hospital after a close encounter with a man with a flamethrower. The man was somehow able to allude the security and police that were there with the Mayor. Though it’s not for certain, authorities have reason to believe that this is someone trying to take the name of the infamous Flash villain, Heatwave. We will update you when we get more information.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

”It doesn’t make sense!” Wally yells as he stares at his computer screen. The information he just read led him down a winding rabbit hole of theories. He felt as if he were going insane. A plastic boomerang, a man killed with a fish-sword, and the Mayor now almost killed by a man with a flame thrower. These are all tropes of villains his former mentor, Barry Allen, faced when he helmed the mantle of the Flash. Wally didn’t understand as all the men behind these outlandish M.O.’s all were in prison or thought to be dead.

(Knock!) (Knock!)

”Come in.” Wally answers the knocking at the door. He jumps from his seat as he sees the cause of this interruption. ”Linda… What are you doing here?”

“Wow, no ‘Nice to see you’ or ‘how are you’?” Linda says with a slight smirk.

”I’m sorry, you caught me at a bad time. I’ve got a lot of work to get done.” Wally says as he motions to his desk. He then looks back and smiles as he receives a slight peck on the cheek from Linda.

“What’s it about now?” Linda says as she sits down in Wally’s chair and examines the screen. She raises her eyebrow in confusion and turns around to look at Wally. “This doesn’t look like your kind of work. What’s it for?”

Wally had to think fast as she was right. What was on his screen, the information on the recent crimes being committed in Keystone City, it didn’t pertain to his day job of being a police mechanic.

“Uh… Hunter asked me to take a look at some of his open cases to see if I had any input. He knew that I was close to my uncle that worked on the police force so he thought I might have some ideas.”

“Well to me.” Linda says as she looks back at the computer screen. “What you’re dealing with is a copycat.”

”Copycat?”

“Yeah, it’s obvious, kinda. A man killed with a sword of the imprisoned Trickster and the Mayor almost getting killed by a man with a flamethrower, a la Heatwave… Also imprisoned.” Linda says as she clicks onto an image of the plastic boomerang that was thrown at her without her knowledge a couple nights prior. “This however… I don’t remember this being in the news. What is it?”

”Uh… Hunter said it was thrown at a police officer. Luckily he wasn’t hurt, but it was the first piece of this seemingly endless puzzle.”

“Ah, so a boomerang… Captain Boomerang, thought to be deceased, yes?”

”Yes.”

“So you’ve got three…” Linda stopped as she noticed Wally’s attention averted to the television to the left of her. She gasped as she saw the image before her. “Turn it up!”

“And what you’re looking at now is the ice-incased police officer, Hunter Zolomon. Official reading show a pulse, but they say it’s fading fast. Authorities are scrambling for a way to make this situation get resolved as quick as possible.”

As the reporter said these words, Wally looked at Linda with a worried face.

”I have to go!” Wally said as he hugged Linda and quickly kissed her good bye. I’ll be back soon.”

Wally quickly grabbed his car keys and his Flash ring off of his dresser. He then proceeded to his car and started it up. Seconds later Wally was speeding to where the scene he just saw on the news is taking place. As he gets out of sight of his house, he quickly pulled into an alley and pressed a button on his ring. In an instant, Wally was out of his pedestrian clothes and into his Flash costume. He quickly threw his clothes into his car and sped off to the scene. A few short moments passed and he arrived next Police Commissioner Bellows.

“Howdy, Flash. You got any ideas as to how we can get Zolomon free without harming him anymore?”

”I’ve got an idea.”” The Flash said as he took a few steps back and grit his teeth underneath his mask. Within the blink of an eye the Flash charged at the block of ice. Wally’s plan was to perform an old trick his mentor, Barry, taught him years ago. Something Wally never fully grasped but right now he had no choice. His plan was to charge the ice at such an immense speed and frequency that he would be able to pass through, grab Hunter, and then find himself on the other side of the ice shard with Hunter unscathed. Much to Wally’s surprise, his plan worked, for the most part at least. He was able to pass through the ice block and get Hunter out. His plan had one hiccup. The immense speed at which he carried the incased Hunter at was too much for Hunter’s body to handle. His spine was fractured in multiple places as he phased through the ice block.

“Agh!” Hunter let out an exasperated gasp as he clenched a fist and hit his own spine. The medical staff rushed to his side and took him from Wally’s arms. The Commissioner ran to Wally’s side and patted him on the back.

“You saved his life.” The Commissioner said as he smiled.

”Partially.” Wally said as he dropped his head in shame. ”I felt his spine fracture. The speed… It was too much.”

“Hey, pal. Look here, you could’ve either have left him there to freeze to death or got him out with some minor injuries.”

”Minor? Commissioner, I don’t think you understand the severit…”

“Son, I’m sure he’ll be able to get over this. He’s a stubborn son of a gun.”

”I hope…”

We will also post a photo of the flame thrower with a minifig so you can see how it looks.

It may look like a fire truck, but in reality, this new vehicle created by the Zorg empire is a powerful mobile flamethrower!

It has been successfully tested on the despicable planet Filoni.

Zorg's troops have spotted a nest of these ridiculous creatures called Mandalorians... With the help of their formidable vehicle (called the "Firestarter", of course), they burned down the nest in the blink of an eye. It was so funny to see those tinfoil buffoons melting in their grotesque armor !

Orders are open - get your "Firestarter" today and burn your enemies with joy and glee ! The price is only 666,000 credits !

This D-Day Churchill Mk VII Crocodile Flamethrower tank is on display outside the Battle of Normandy Memorial Museum in Bayeux and is one of 800 built in total.

In the early part of the WWW2 Major Percy Hobart was an officer in the Home Guard. In 1940 Sir Winston Churchill summoned him to Chequers, the country house retreat of the Prime Minister. He was redeployed and tasked with overseeing the development of armoured fighting vehicles that could provide a solution to particular battlefield engineering problems. These would be called Hobart's 'Funnies'. They included mine clearing flail tanks, bridge laying Churchill tanks, artificial road laying tanks, swimming DD tanks, and flame throwing tanks like the Churchill Mk VIII Crocodile tank also known as the 'heavy Churchill'.

They were called 'crocodiles' because of the way the tank moved when the flame thrower 400 gallon fuel trailer was attached to the back of the vehicle. They seemed to waddle side to side very slowly just like a big crocodile on dry land. It was feared by the German troops. The mere sound of the Churchill tank jetting flame out of its hull nozzle was enough sometimes to get the occupants of a gun emplacement or fortified house to surrender.

A few minutes the sunset lit the storm clouds making it appear like a flame.

The hollow, and inset bits. The hose is a new super-flexible rubber, but it is not hollow.

This time, I separated the nozzle from the handgrip, and made the nozzle completely hollow to allow it to move to match the minifig's "grip trapezoid".

Had some friends do a model shoot in the river in front of the house today. As they were leaving, one of the models tried out the flamethrower.

Yes! My Tiny Tactical order has arrived. I promised a review of their products, so, here it goes:

Weapons (without attachments): I ordered 3 Tiny Tactical weapons in total: 1 KSV and 2 SBRs. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to order any of their SMG A1s, Panzerfausts, Flamethrowers, SMG A1ks, or G18s. The quality of the plastic in the weapons is superb, and very durable. Each of the weapons that I ordered has "tactical rails" that support accessories. **The accessories slide on, but will not stay unless "super glued."**

At the moment, 5 out of 7 of Tiny Tactical's weapons are Modern War-Era, and the other two are World War II era. Personally, I don't like how there isn't much variety in weapon type or era. I feel limited to a few amount of weapons. I think that if Tiny Tactical expanded their weapon range, that more customers would buy there guns.

The Attachments: The attachments are some of the most amazing things that I have ever seen. They are so small, yet so detailed, and the fit exactly on the "rails" of weapons made from Minifig. cat, BrickArms, and TT. The plastic of these accessories is amazing as well. Tiny Tactical has pretty much every attachment imaginable in their store, which adds the the fun and creativity of creating-your-own weapon. It's great that there are so many different attachment combinations that one can assemble onto a handful of weapons... simply fascinating!

Another thing that I want to point out is the fact that Tiny Tactical attachments and accessories can "fit" onto BrickArms weapons, and some Minifig.cat items. It's brilliant that TT can do that. As you can see in these photos, I combined many Tiny Tactical attachments with BrickArms weapons. They fit together with utmost perfection. I have yet to try it on one of my Minifig.cat items... Hmm...

Assembly: One of the only things that impacted me in a slightly negative way was how hard it was to assemble the accessories onto the weapons. Super glueing these tiny pieces together was quite difficult, and I messed up a thing or two. I'd recommend getting "custom assembly" from the Tiny Tactical workforce for the really small accessories that could cause an issue, such as the "Magazine Pulls." Just my two cents : )

Vests, Helmets, and Gasmasks: Tiny Tactical also makes amazing Tactical Vests, Helmets, Gasmasks, and other body-wear/headgear related items. The Tactical Vests are beautiful, and I will definitely use them frequently. The plastic is durable, and "shiny." They come in three colors: Dark Tan (shown), Black (not shown), and OD Green (not bought or shown). As you can see, the Dark Tan is a perfect color match to TLG's Dark Tan. TT's Black color also matches 100% to TLG's Black color. I don't know about the OD Green vest though, I haven't bought it... yet ; )

Unfortunately, I was not able to acquire TT's Gasmasks or Helmets for they weren't in stock. For my next trip to Tiny Tactical's store, I'll make sure to pick up a few of each!

Other: Tiny Tactical's store also offers a wide range of "other" accessories. They have Wrist Watches, Radios (one shown), Target Stickers (shown), and much much more. My next trip to TT's store will be to buy some more of these items so that I can review them for you all. But for now, I'll leave this category empty of review. Sorry!

All in all, I'd recommend purchasing some Tiny Tactical items to all of you Customizers and Minifig-Lovers out there! Truly great products!

Equipment captured after the battle of Skrobowa on November 9, 1916. It was a large scale assault using flamethrowers and assault troops. 3000 prisoners and a dozen of MGs and mortars were captured.

There is an extensive report of the action in the history book of the Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 8. Here is the first extract translated about the preparation:

"Preparations for the assault on the old Austrian Ia line at the Skrobowa stream.

At the beginning of October, the army detachment of Woyrsch yielded to the pressure from General von Woyna. The division commander felt he could no longer justify the fact that every month the 5th Reserve Division suffered such losses, especially since the mine warfare called into question the possibility of holding the wooded promontory. And barely 1000 meters further east lay the old Austrian position with its probably intact, bulletproof dugouts and the easily defensible Skrobowa stream valley in front of it (see sketch 33). On October 15th, the division received orders to drive the enemy back across the Skrobowa stream. In addition to the 5th Reserve Division, 3 battalions of Infantry Regiment 401 from our right-hand neighbor, the 201st Infantry Division, were deployed for this purpose, as well as 4 battalions from the Army reserves (Infantry Regiment 218 and I./Landwehr Regiment 72) were made available. The division was promised ample ammunition and modern offensive equipment. However, the division had to carry out the attack with its own forces. Only systematic preparation of the assault troops could guarantee the success of the attack.

Demonstrations of the assault tactic introduced on the Western Front, using assault troops similar to those demonstrated by Major Rohrbeck with the division's 8th Regiment at the training fortification near Makary in the summer, were shown to officers of the division at the Slonim Assault Battalion. Initially, from October 11th, the training of the assault infantry was placed in the hands of the experienced Douaumont assault commander, Major von Klüfer. (2) Battalions RIR 48, III./RIR 12 (commanded by Captain Otto), assault troops from RIR. During the review of the attack plans (8 and I./RIR 12), it became necessary, in view of the strong strongpoints of the enemy position, to deploy the entire I./RIR 12 for the frontal assault against the division's 2 km wide attack front from the Skrobowa stream east of Perewoloki (see sketch 33) to Eier and Mittel-Höhe. Therefore, on October 22nd, Major Rohrbeck was tasked with training the two battalions of RIR 12. Only assault troops from Regiment 8 were to attack the enemy trenches from the north and from Dorn.

Training included assault running on an obstacle course, systematic instruction in hand grenade throwing, and the systematic training of the assault troops, assembled from the best men of the companies for such an attack, under the command of Lt. [Name missing], who had trained in the assault battalion on the Western Front. Rudolf Schneider, the tactical exercises involving all weapons at the training fortification west of Gorodishche, and, in recent days, cooperation with the large and small flamethrower squads, resulted in the desired striking power of the attacking force after several weeks of work.

The preparations for the attack also included the creation of the necessary accurate maps of the attack area. Based on new aerial photographs, the surveying department produced a position map at a scale of 1:5000, an aerial photograph map at a scale of 1:4000, a map for mortars at a scale of 1:2500, and a map for assault troops at a scale of 1:1500, and numerous copies were distributed to the attacking force.

The Russians had likely received information about attack preparations behind our lines. Their vigorous combat activity in front of the divisional front, a gas attack (albeit unsuccessful) against our neighboring Division 201 on the right, and finally the shelling of the training grounds with long-range artillery, were the Russians' futile attempts to disrupt our plans.

While the narrow-gauge railway brought masses of artillery ammunition to Kisseli, and the division's columns hauled their heavy loads through the mud of the autumn roads to the batteries, the preliminary attack preparations were underway: General Knoch inspected each of the battalions involved in the attack at the training fortification, observing their combined use of all weapons, including live hand grenades by the headbutt teams; the flamethrowers were demonstrated to the attacking force; the attacking regiments were shown charging side-by-side; and finally, orders were issued for deployment and attack. With complete confidence in the success of the attack, the assault force moved into position on November 8th.

The divisional and brigade orders for the attack had already been sent to the troops on November 5th. The order began:

“The 5th Divisional Regiment, in conjunction with elements of the 201st Infantry Division, will drive the enemy from their positions on Hill 194 and west of the Skrobowa stream. The objective of the attack is the old Austrian Ia line. It is to be fortified as a permanent position. The date of the attack will be announced later.”

The deployment positions, including flamethrowers, mortars, and other equipment, were to be established two nights prior to the attack (see sketch 37).

The 5th Divisional Regiment, in conjunction with elements of the 201st Infantry Division, will dismantle the enemy from their positions on Hill 194 and west of the Skrobowa stream. The attack was to be prepared and supported by a four-hour barrage of Green Cross gas (a gas damaging to the respiratory system) to disable the enemy artillery (two heavy and nine light field howitzer batteries), followed by a four-hour barrage of artillery (54 batteries) and mortars (18 heavy, 32 medium, and 50 light) against the enemy infantry positions, and by an attack with flamethrowers during the assault. Within the attack area of RIR 8, the effective range was one mortar battery, one heavy field howitzer battery on Kirchofshöhe, one heavy field howitzer battery, and one light field howitzer battery on Waldnase.

The effective range was determined by the following: Ample ammunition was also allocated and stockpiled for artillery counterattacks during the assault preparations, to extend the initial success, and ultimately to hold the captured position (Saturday: 3,500 rounds for mortars, 15,000 rounds for heavy field howitzers, 10,000 for light field howitzers, 20,000 for field guns, 1,550 for heavy trench mortars, 3,600 rounds for medium trench mortars, 16,000 rounds for light trench mortars).

The infantry's attack objectives under General Knoch are shown in sketches 33 and 38. The infantry assault was to be preceded shortly by a feint attack in the sector of the 201st Infantry Division. Two infantry aircraft were to support the infantry attack, three artillery aircraft were to monitor their own firing and the enemy batteries, and an air communications officer was to maintain contact with the infantry. Sufficient engineer forces were assigned to the attack sectors for post-attack work. The relocation of mobile, small searchlights to their occupied positions was also coordinated.

On November 7th, Lieutenant Colonel Kavelmacher issued the following attack order: (see sketches 36, 37, and 38):

1) The division will drive the enemy from the old Austrian positions south of Skrobowa-Bach to the Waldnase (including the area).

2) The left wing of III./48 will advance towards Mittelhöhe. The boundary between III./48 and Regiment 8 is the Mulde River south of Kirchhofshöhe, including the area for Regiment 8.

3) Regiment 8 will capture Kirchhofshöhe with an assault battalion (I.), and Waldnase with an assault battalion (III.). A Kleif platoon (with attached hand grenades and assault troops from the infantry of I./8) will clear the enemy position between Stolleneck and the combat strip of Regiment 48.

4) Half of III./218, subordinated to Regiment 8, holds the position taken by II./48, which was assumed upon the readiness order.

5) Combat sector:

I./8 right: from the former right flank of I./8 to the depression south of Kirchhofshöhe,

I./8 left: from the former left flank of I./8 to point 27.

III./8 then to the left.

6) After artillery preparation, the Grof platoons (large flamethrowers) begin their activity at 12:59 PM. At 1:00 PM, the attack begins simultaneously from all sections of the trench.

Attacking from I./8 are: (Sketch 38)

a) a Kleif platoon (small flamethrower) from Stolleneck with a hand grenade squad and two assault squads on the left side of the Russian position opposite III./218. It clears the trenches up to the attack sector of III./48. A platoon of infantry follows. After clearing the trench, III./218 connects the tunnel corner to this cleared Russian trench, creating a defensible link.

b) A platoon of sorties west of the large crater via point 29 towards Kirchhofshöhe,

c) A platoon of sorties east of the small crater via point 28 towards Kirchhofshöhe. Between each of these platoons, and to the right and left of them, is an infantry assault troop (items b and c). Behind each platoon of sorties is a platoon of the assault company of I./8. The last platoon of the assault company follows.

Another company follows behind the right flank of the assault company and occupies the captured position from Kirchhofshöhe to Regiment 48.

The following attack units from III./8:

a) a skirmish platoon (Blockhaus) with two assault troops on the left, from the Dorn position via Blockhaus to point 27. An infantry platoon follows to inspect the right flank of the battalion sector III./8,

b) a skirmish platoon (Waldnase I) from the Dorn via point 32 in the southern Waldnase ditch to the tip,

c) a skirmish platoon (Waldnase II) from the Dorn tip via point 31 in the northern Waldnase ditch to the tip. Each of the two skirmish platoons (b and c) is followed by an infantry platoon and occupies the captured position. The barrier west of point 32, intended as the later main position, is to be reinforced immediately.

7) The remainder of I./8 and III./8 will initially occupy the old positions as a backup and, after the new positions have been taken, will be used by the battalions to transport supplies and clear the terrain. However, the existing positions are to be held until further notice. All captured positions are to be held. Immediate installation of machine guns, advance of light machine guns, construction of wire entanglements, and reversal of the positions after capture are the first requirements.

9) The Kleif platoons, hand grenade teams, and assault teams will advance to the saps located east of the positions and clear them of enemy forces. The saps are then to be sealed approximately 50 meters in front of the position. The captured positions are to be immediately connected to the old position by saps.

10) Half of III./218 is at 3:45 a.m. The regiment moved into the bulletproof dugouts in Wolfs- and Material-Schlucht. A platoon of M.G.K. II./8 is available to the regiment in the reserve dugout on the left flank of the assault starting position.

11) Troop assembly point: initially the previous regimental assembly point. Lightly wounded assembly point: the infirmary in the Prudy camp.

12) I remain at the regimental command post.

The II./8, which was not involved in the attack, had orders to suppress enemy machine guns flanking the attack of the III./8, and to observe the progress of the attack and the enemy's rear area."

How did a First Order Transporter run into Zombies?

Captain Phasma and her squad seem to not mind too much about that and they deal with the undead in typical First Order's style: with superior firepower.

I wanted to show the burning stream from the flamethrower but it obscured the climbing zombie so I decided to depict the moment when the flamethrower is "ignited" and the "stream" is about to be released.

I hope you like it :)

The L35 Lf in action

And I will enter it in the old dark gray challenge/contest.

Wikipedia: The M2 flamethrower was an American, man-portable, backpack flamethrower that was used in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The M2 was the successor to the M1 and M1A1 flamethrowers. Although its burn time was around 7 seconds long, and the flames were effective around 20–40 meters, it was still a useful weapon. With the arrival of flamethrower tanks, the need for flamethrower-carrying infantrymen to expose themselves to enemy fire had been greatly reduced.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M2_flamethrower

This mech actually has a working flamethrower built completely from Legos. Watch the video to see a short description of the parts/mechanics as well as some burning flames!

This is our dual pilot mech with which we enter the combatants arena. The Firethorn is very heavy, sturdy and can take a whole lot of beating. Given that he uses real fire, we figured his 'lego' damage is pretty high ;)

This was created for our Iron Builder against the Erickson Brothers, and uses the green spike as pauldrons and armor accents.

The NC-X was a heavy flamethrower that was designed in 2019. Although it proved effective, many flaws were discovered, including but not limited to: lacerations...enumeration...incineration? the gas tank would leak occasionally, causing the operator to catch fire, often times the shields were shown to be ineffective and too heavy for all practical purposes, and the design itself was too weak for mass-production.

I just put this together to test out my new lighting system for photo taking.

Inspired by several different people.

Anyone else going to see Thor 2 Friday? :3
