Hanging out at a neighbor's house and decided to have a "campfire." Here in Lorain our idea of a campfire is throwing some sticks and branches that fell off our trees during a windy day in a charcoal grill. Can you say ghetto?
Anisacanthus wrightii. Tucson, Arizona, USA. The Anisacanthus patch in my backyard was very popular with Anna's hummingbirds. There was one feeding in it or sitting in the mesquite tree next to it just about every time I walked by. They didn't seem to mind the neighbor's cat that had made a little den in the middle of the patch and was lying there watching them almost every day.
So cold tonight that I had to put the fire on. And then I decided to try to capture some flickering flames.
