The flame from a lighter. Taken at my home. I chose this photo because I like home the brightness of the flame stands out from the rest of the photo. I centered the lighter in the center of the photo but I filled up the entire photo with the lighter and the flame.

there was a power cut on our street today. i wouldn't mind but i was halfway thru this weeks game of thrones. i was watching it in bed at the time so i lit a few candles, found the torch and read a book. well, a chapter out of a book.
it's been a long time since i've been put in a position where i've no real distractions. i got thru that chapter a lot quicker than i thought i would as i am a fairly slow reader. the power came back after about twenty five minutes and as i was about to put the book down and turn on the tv i paused and decided to finish the chapter, the story in fact, as it is a book of short stories. i must do that more often.
his right hand actually caught on fire after taking this shot because of all the gas we had on our hands from burning other things...such as bees, wasps, ants, houses, people...haha, no houses or people...lol.
This is my little tribute to a remarkable lady who will be dearly missed. I only knew her for a brief amount of time, but she was someone who was full of life and shared her wonderful spirit with all. I'm thankful that I had a chance to meet her.
playing with corel effects again. I just mirrored a picture of fire I had and this is what came out. thought it was cool.
It seems to have become tradition for Brussels Airlines to decorate an Airbus to celebrate their football team. Including a pair wearing identical liveries about ten years ago, there have now been four aircraft so painted.
This one, OO-SNO, reflects the modern era by also promoting the women's side who are nicknamed the Red Flames, the men's team having the moniker the Red Devils.
The aircraft was launched in this livery on 15th November 2022.

I know this is very similar to a previous shot, but I love the yellow tones in this one that help to provide more warmth and make it feel more fiery....anyway, I don't think you can ever tire of autumn colours....

In the Christmas season, when I was young, my brother and I used to have a wonderful time squirting orange peels into the flames of a candle. Squirt! and the flame would do all sorts of interesting things.
This set is an attempt to capture that experience photographically. It wasn't easy, because the flame effect is very quick.
