Vanilla Cake w/ Vanilla Filling/Frosting, covered in fondant. I was going to make a blueberry cake, a vanilla cake, and a strawberry tier, but due to time and money constraints at the time I wanted to make the cake, I decided it would be better (easier/cheaper) to just do all vanilla.
I actually woke up with this idea in my head one day in early may and HAD to draw it out before I forgot it. Then, I just kind of sat on the idea for two months, and made it just in time for the Fourth of July. The eagle and the sparklers are the only inedible parts (aside from the given support structure inside the tiers)... though I WAS going to attempt to make the eagle out of cereal treats... but again, it was the time/money constraints. Overall, I am very happy with the way the cake came out.
Challenge: Triangle composition
I got several other triangle composition shots (posted to my stream), and picking only 3 was really hard! But I like this particular composition.

A display of flags for The Queen's Diamond Jubilee at The Fisherman's Hospital in Great Yarmouth. I've tried and failed to decifer any message that might be there in the flags so if anyone else can help me out please do so :)
The Corporation of Great Yarmouth founded the hospital in 1702. It was set up as Almshouses for 'decayed' fishermen: providing housing for twenty fishermen and their wives aged sixty and over who could no longer provide for themselves. Now it has been converted into private residences.
