Hell Bastard refuses to fly the St Georges cross or the Union Flag so instead we had a rather nice pirate flag and some Spanish looking fellow.
The US flags at the base of the Washington Monument, at the National Mall, Washington DC.
This night produced the perfect combination of a stunning sunset, with a little wind for the flags.

I remember taking this photo last fall on one of those cold, dark October days that signal rains to come. It was near dusk when I came upon this small clump of purple aster and was surprised to find several honeybees frantically gathering pollen. I forgot about that day with the splendor of autumn leaves that came later, and was surprised to find any of the bees in focus because they never stopped moving.
The wind had come up, but it was a hot wind. It did blow the U.S. Flag and the Wyoming State flag out nicely though.

White flag & blue sky, blue flag and clouds - I got lucky with the atmospheric conditions with this one.
This flag has been flown in poor weather until it is in tatters. Seen on Barcells Street, Santa Clara, CA.
A bandeira galega moderna nasceu no S. XIX a partir da bandeira naval da Corunha, representada com a Cruz de Santo André de cor azul sob um fundo branco. Esta bandeira apresentava uns traços similares à bandeira escocesa mas com as cores invertidas. No ano 1891 a Cruz de Santo André foi modificada para evitar que fosse confundida com a bandeira da marinha imperial russa e ficou no formato que conhecemos hoje. Posteriormente os emigrantes galegos na América começaram a usá-la como bandeira nacional galega e já avançado o S. XX a banda original transversal procedente da Cruz de Santo André foi ressaltada com mais grossor para dar-lhe mais visibilidade e assim tornar-se finalmente a bandeira nacional civil da Galiza.
