"The Rhône Glacier (German: Rhonegletscher/ Valais German: "Rottengletscher", French: le glacier du Rhône) is a glacier in the Swiss Alps and the source of the river Rhône and one of the primary contributors to Lake Geneva in the far eastern end of the Swiss canton of Valais. Because the Glacier is located close to the Furka Pass road it is easily accessible.

Die obere Bergstation heisst ebenfalls First (2'167 m ü. M.) und steht den Besuchern im Winter und im Sommer mit einem gut ausgebauten Ski- und Wandergebiet zur Verfügung.
Besonders beliebt ist die Wanderung zum Bachalpsee und weiter zum Faulhorn, die ein spektakuläres Panorama mit Blick auf den oberen Grindelwaldgletscher sowie Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau bietet. Eine weitere interessante Wanderung führt auf das Schwarzhorn. Östlich von First liegt 5,6 Kilometer zu Fuss entfernt die Grosse Scheidegg.

The Dent de Jaman is a mountain (1875 m) above Montreux, situated north of the Rochers de Naye.
La dent de Jaman est un sommet des préalpes vaudoises situé à 1 875 mètres d'altitudes, dans le canton de Vaud, en Suisse.
Ses contours sont atypiques dans cette région préalpine. La forme générale de la dent de Jaman, de par ses falaises abruptes sur son versant occidental, présente l'aspect d'une canine géante vue depuis le lac Léman. Un sentier assez exposé permet d'atteindre relativement facilement son sommet par le versant oriental. Des groupes de chamois peuplent ses coteaux.
Une crête part de la dent de Jaman, passe par le Merdasson et rejoint les rochers de Naye.
La dent de Jaman est en outre le symbole d'une troupe de scouts de Montreux, la « troupe de Jaman ».
En hiver, les skieurs bénéficient d'un téléski pour profiter d'une piste de 1,86 km de long.

The Rochers de Naye are easily accessible from Montreux, where the highest railway in the canton, the Montreux–Glion–Rochers-de-Naye, starts. From the summit station (1,968 metres (6,457 ft)), only a short walk is necessary to reach the summit. In addition, it is also possible to access the summit by driving to Col de Jaman and then making the 2-3 hr hike to the peak.
The Rochers de Naye are also known for the Rochers de Naye Via Ferrata[3] considered to be extremely difficult (ED), the Grottes de Naye (caves which are accessible via the trail between Col de Jaman and Rochers de Naye), and a few enclosures hosting marmots from around the world.

Namensgeber des Bergrückens ist der gleichnamige kleine Bergsee mit einer Fläche von weniger als 0,1 km², an dem die Kapelle „Maria zum Schnee“ und die Bergstation der Schwarzseebahn liegen. Schwarzsee ist ein Ausgangspunkt zur Besteigung des Matterhorns sowie von Wanderungen zur Hörnlihütte, die in etwa 2 Stunden erreichbar ist. Früher war Schwarzsee nur über Skilifte und kleinste Seilbahnen zugänglich. Inzwischen wurden im Zuge der Renaturierungsbemühungen der Zermatter Bergbahnen die alten Lifte durch eine moderne Gondelbahn ersetzt. In der Touristikbranche wird der Ort, welchen die Sonne morgens als ersten im Zermatter Skigebiet erreicht, als Schwarzsee paradise vermarktet.

The Matterhorn (German), Monte Cervino (Italian) or Mont Cervin (French), is a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its summit is 4,478 meters (14,690 ft) high, making it one of the highest peaks in the Alps. The four steep faces, rising above the surrounding glaciers, face the four compass points. The mountain overlooks the town of Zermatt in the canton of Valais to the north-east and Breuil-Cervinia in the Aosta Valley to the south. The Theodul Pass, located at the eastern base of the peak, is the lowest passage between its north and south side.

"The Ober Gabelhorn (4063 m) is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland, located between Zermatt and Zinal.
Das Ober Gabelhorn (oft auch Obergabelhorn) ist ein Viertausender in den Walliser Alpen.
Ausgangsorte für eine Besteigung sind Zermatt oder Zinal.
Die Erstbesteigung wurde am 6. Juli 1865 durch Adolphus Warburton Moore, Horace Walker und Jakob Anderegg unternommen. Schon am nächsten Tag folgten die Verlierer beim Rennen um den Gipfel, Francis Douglas, Peter Taugwalder und Joseph Viennin bei ihrem dritten Anlauf. Francis Douglas kam eine Woche später bei der Erstbesteigung des Matterhorns ums Leben.
Der Normalweg führt von der Rothornhütte (3198 m) über den Triftgletscher zur Schulter der Wellenkuppe (3909 m), über diese in leichter Kletterei (III-) hinweg und den ausgeprägten Ostnordostgrat folgend über den grossen Gendarm (Kluckerturm, Fixseile) zum Gipfel. Es handelt sich um eine kombinierte Hochtour (III+, Eis bis 50°, AD). Weitere interessante Anstiege sind der Armengrat (Westsüdwestgrat, III+, AD) und die stark vergletscherte, selten begangene Nordwand (Eis 55°, D).

Der First ist eine Verflachung des Südwest-Rückens zum Widderfeldgrätli (2'632 m ü. M.) im Berner Oberland nördlich oberhalb von Grindelwald. Er ist über eine Gondelbahn oder zu Fuss erreichbar. Die obere Bergstation heisst ebenfalls First (2'167 m ü. M.) und steht den Besuchern im Winter und im Sommer mit einem gut ausgebauten Ski- und Wandergebiet zur Verfügung.
Besonders beliebt ist die Wanderung zum Bachalpsee und weiter zum Faulhorn, die ein spektakuläres Panorama mit Blick auf den oberen Grindelwaldgletscher sowie Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau bietet. Eine weitere interessante Wanderung führt auf das Schwarzhorn. Östlich von First liegt 5,6 Kilometer zu Fuss entfernt die Grosse Scheidegg.
Der First ist ein Startort für Paraglider und Deltasegler sowie Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Mountainbiketouren. Station First bietet auch einen imposanten kurvenreichen Schlittenweg, welcher bei guten Schneeverhältnissen direkt nach Grindelwald führt.

The Schönbielhut is located on an elevation in the far end of the Zmutt valley, slightly above the Zmutt glacier. It is attended by the host in spring and summer. the path to the refuge does not require alpinism experience, but you should be an experienced hiker.
You can reach the refuge by the following paths:
in 4h starting in Zermatt, going up to Blatten, Zum See on the Matterhorn Trail (Number 29 on the hiking map of the Zermatt tourism office)
in 4h going up to Zmutt, along the valley side passing through Chalbermatten
in 3 and a half hours from furi through Stafel
in 2 and a half hours from Schwarzsee (using the cable car „Matterhorn Express“)
Die Schönbielhütte liegt auf einem Bielti (Buckel) im hinteren Zmutttal, leicht oberhalb des Zmuttgletschers. Sie ist im Frühjahr sowie im Sommer bewartet. Der Weg zur Hütte erfordert keine aussergewöhnlichen Erfahrungen im Hochalpinismus. Man sollte sich jedoch vorab mit den Wanderregeln vertraut machen. Man erreicht die Hütte auf folgenden Wegen:
in vier Stunden, ausgehend von Zermatt über Blatten, Zum See auf dem Matterhorn-Trail (Wanderweg Nr. 29 auf der Wanderkarte von Zermatt Tourismus)
in vier Stunden über den Weiler Z'Mutt, der Talseite entlang über die Chalbermatten
in dreieinhalb Stunden über Furi und Stafel
in zweieinhalb Stunden von Schwarzsee (Einstieg Talstation Matterhorn Express) auf dem Matterhorn-Trail
La cabane de Schönbiel se trouve sur une bosse rocheuse au fond de la vallée de Zmutt, au-dessus du glacier du Zmutt. Elle est ouverte au printemps et pendant l‘été. Le chemin amenant à la cabane n‘exige pas des expériences d‘alpinisme mais on devrait étre un randonneur expérimenté. Vous accédez la cabane par les chemins suivants:
en 4h, partant depuis Zermatt, passant par Blatten et Zum See sur le „Matterhorn-Trail
en 4h depuis Zermatt, passnat par Zmutt, le long de la vallée passan „Chalbermatten“
en 3h et demie par Furi et Stafel
en 2h et demie depuis Schwarzsee (utilistation du Matterhorn Express)
