A fisherman fixes a net in Wathmuok village, outside Aweil, South Sudan.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) donated thread and tools to allow the community to produce their own nets for fishing in the swamps.

The NECA Dorothy could use a bit of a simple touch up on paint.

Named for the nearby Pripyat River, Pripyat was founded on 4 February 1970, the ninth nuclear city in the Soviet Union, for the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. It was officially proclaimed a city in 1979, and had grown to a population of 49,360 before being evacuated a few days after the 26 April 1986 Chernobyl disaster.

Though Pripyat is located within the administrative district of Ivankiv Raion, the abandoned city now has a special status within the larger Kiev Oblast (province), being administered directly from Kiev. Pripyat is also supervised by Ukraine's Ministry of Emergencies, which manages activities for the entire Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

Access to Pripyat, unlike cities of military importance, was not restricted before the disaster as nuclear power stations were seen by the Soviet Union as safer than other types of power plants. Nuclear power stations were presented as being an achievement of Soviet engineering, where nuclear power was harnessed for peaceful projects. The slogan "peaceful atom" (Russian: ?????? ????, mirnyj atom) was popular during those times. The original plan had been to build the plant only 25 km (16 mi) from Kiev, but the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, among other bodies, expressed concern about it being too close to the city. As a result, the power station and Pripyat were built at their current locations, about 100 km (62 mi) from Kiev. After the disaster the city of Pripyat was evacuated in two days.

Some new faces, some old, made new friends and generally we were in our elements.

Rhetorical question but did we have a blast? You bet!

Out and about looking for treasures

I just fell in my shower

In the middle of Old Havana these two guys were working on their car (in front of what I assume is their garage?). I agreed...! If you put a Playboy bunny on your front screen, you should at least have 4 wheels!

"Lights will guide you home

And I will try to fix you"

Jammed and it took multiple turns of the screw to get it right!

Got to fixing those leggies!! c: So yea, I took a closer look and the problem was actually that the ball joints on the rabbit knees were too small. Fixing was pretty easy with no modding involved. xD

This photo, remind me of the song from Coldplay entitled Fix You. I love the song.

My favourite line is, "When you get what you want but not what you need". Meaning, he's describing all these situations that can make a person feel broken down and discouraged. They can make you feel like you're not moving forward through life but like life is setting you back.

And I want to thank to Afo(Amar Faris Osman) for being a good companion. What a great night.

I was on my way to get my glasses fixed when I noticed something else that needed fixing. Amtrak 57 was down with a bad brake at the Port Huron, Michigan station. The only time you'll see Amtrak in Port Huron during daylight hours is if somethings gone wrong or late summer when its bright outside. Regardless of that issue, the Blue Water carried on without its rear engine, making for a rare instance of the train not operating in a push pull configuration. 57 was looking quite beaten and battered, rusty holes and patches scattered across the 27 year old locomotive. Nonetheless it still rumbled and occasionally roared into life as the engine revved. People say diesels don't feel as "alive" as steam locomotives, but even when idling, diesels still make plenty of noises to let you know they're ready to go whenever. So far the P42s have lasted about as long as the F40PHs in revenue service, so its no wonder they're showing their age. Definitely a surreal sight given these were the engines I grew up with in the 2000s and 2010s and it seemed like they'd never age. Time waits for no one and ultimately things must carry on.
