After being and on-and-off-again avid cyclist, with my 40th birthday rapidly approaching, I've decided to go back to the absolute cycling basics; ride a single speed, fixed gear bike.
My intention was to source and old racing frame and build a fixie myself, but a quick search on-line unearthed this second-hand beauty for sale.
It's an On-One Pompino frame with a Muscle carbon fork, Planet X front wheel, HALO Aerorage rear wheel and fixed hub.
It's a short, but steep, learning curve on riding a fixie, but what an experience. Highly recommended.

Day 182. Wow, what an amazing day. Nearly 30 degrees Celsius, that's almost unheard of in the UK!
Short ride on my old single speed bike to the church to take some photos of the nearby barley field. As is often the case, it is the unplanned photos that I usually find more interesting. So here is my bike resting against a gravestone.
