Fixer Dante, from Stockwell, made Breaking the Cycle - a satirical film about gang culture in London - with his friend Mohammed Idle, from Kennington, and Fixers. Fix you - Coldplay
Fixer Noel Moss, from Gloucester, was just 21 when his mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour and told she had just two weeks to live. Now he's campaigning to help more recognise the signs of brain tumours. A film about his Fix was broadcast on ITV News Westcountry on 4 April 2013. Now Courtney Reeve is developing a choir for disabled people to showcase their creativity in her town of Mildenhall, Suffolk.

This portrait photograph was purchased January 4th 2015 from an antique shop in Shelburne, Vermont. The photographer was James Campbell of Oxford, Indiana. The writing on the back identifies these two as Ruby and Albert Fix.
I try hard to approach photo research objectively, so I'm always surprised when I get it way wrong. I began with the assumption that this was simply Albert and his sister, Ruby. It was just a matter of determining who's who. Young boys were often dressed in skirts during that era. I decided the child on the right had to be the boy, Albert, with his sister, Ruby, in the gender-neutral outfit on the left.
I found a good candidate for Albert Fix in the 1900 Benton County, Boswell, Indiana census; Series T623, Roll 360, Page 65. Fix, Albert V., age 8, was listed as the son of Charles L. and Emma A. Fix. Since children's names are listed in order of age, I looked below his name for his sister, Ruby. Instead, I found his sister, Goldie, age 4. It was a stretch to think Goldie and Ruby could be the same child. The age difference was too great, and the names were too dissimilar. I began to think I'd found the wrong family.
Then I found Ruby's grave site on Find-a-Grave. The first surprise was that Ruby was identified as the son of C.L. and E.A. Fix! He was born in 1899 and died in 1908. At age one, he should have appeared below Goldie's name in the 1900 census. The census showed Emma A. Fix bore nine children, with eight surviving in 1900, but Ruby didn't die until 1908. What gives?
It appears the birth year on Ruby's headstone is off by a decade. Ruby appeared as Rubert at ten years of age in the 1900 census above Albert's name. This means both children in the photo are boys, and Ruby is the older child. His outfit suggests some kind of ethnic persuasion, but I don't know which one --or am I getting it wrong again?

Fixer required the most painting. His chest gear and parts of his legs had a hideous neon green, which I've replaced with black. His boots also came unpainted.
my charger broke and then the mic when i was trying to fix it.
scavenged the mic off of a usb phone and the charger is rca cords
but hey it works ..imagine talking on this thing in a busy place might look stupid but who cares

Fixers Northern Ireland launch at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, April 22, 2013. Fixers is expanding across the UK helping young people aged 16-25 fix the issues that fire them up, however they choose, benefiting themselves, their communities and people they don’t even know.
