For my birthday, I took a week off of work. Birthday's in December is hard. You get shafted on the presents for one. And two, the weather everywhere is crap. At Lost Rocks, located in Northern California near Redwood National Park, the temps were Sunny and in the upper 50's. I headed out there solo to get some climbing in. Two words - Beach Bouldering. Soft landings, fun problems. However, when i went, the low tide times were at night (like 4:00am and 4:00pm), so not much climbing happened. Not to worry though - I still hiked around the redwoods and had a fun time.
