Shortly after arriving in Panjim, the capital of the State of Goa, I headed for a walk around the town. Panjim is truly a lovely town, beautiful Portugese architecture and churches, all with a definitely uniquely Indian feel. I'd be hard pressed to put my finger on what describes and defines India best. Patience (only just enough for any situation) is one thing (with 1.2 Billion people, you'd need to be). Colours are another - almost all colours in India seem, brighter and more vibrant.
Here I had stopped off for a bite to eat, probably the third defining point of India and Indians for me. A beautiful little restaurant with delicious fish thali washed down with the ubiquitous Kingfisher Beer.
Oh, the light? did I forget the light? How? I don't know. The light throughout Goa and Mumbai was lovely, even when it wasn't. The type of light that fills up your heart (and lens) and brings a smile to everyone's face.
