Sunday evening was Levi's turn up at Spring Mountain. Our goal this Winter is to teach all three kids how to ski or snowboard, and this evening was Levi's first time on a snowboard. He had a really good lesson and even showed me some of what he learned before we took a break for dinner. After a plate full of lodge pizza and chicken fingers, we took several trips up the lift before it was finally time to get home and ready for bed. He should be pro in no time.
my first ever french manicure! i did it yesterday. i think it looks pretty good for a first timer. :)
i had a rhinestone on my thumb, so that's that little lump you see, haha. my fingernail isn't demented, just so you know.
i also seem to have a red mark on my palm for some reason.
Great shoot with firsttime-model Sarina. Was a lot of fun! She's shot with 50mm F1.4 USM, lit by a Speedlite 420EXII, triggered wirelessly by Cactus V5's, diffused by Rogue Flashbender softboxkit, angeled at about 45 degrees to the models left.
Nikki is 15, and this is the first time she has ever met my sister in laws
Cockapoo puppy(8 months) Buddy. Buddy has never seen a cat before,
let alone met one this close! Nikki has never lived with a dog.....unless
it was before I found her....she was only about 9 months to a year when
I rescued her as a stray in Feb of 1996:) I know she seems to hate other
cats....if she sees one outside she growls like a demon! I had Buddy on a
leash and Nikki was loose in the air conditioned bedroom...this is her
space. When she saw Buddy she jumped down off the bed and walked
right up to him with absolutely no hissing, or hesitation! Luckily Buddy was
a perfect little gentleman and was quite calm.....especially since he is still
a puppy! Nikki was totally comfortable around him....she was even purring
and walking up to try and rub his face:) She acted like they had always
been friends! I still can't get over how this turned out.....she is such a
amazing cat! She acted the same when she met Sammy, but Sammy, being
a herding dog (Sheltie) got a little excited.....Nikki still likes him too!

Happy days! I had great fun this morning riding to work in the cold, cold morning. It was a bracing but lovely ride.
I got good news later too, as the mighty Volvo barnstormed the MOT first time.
This makes me happy. Christmas shopping still happens. :)
Ginger does this often. She leaves her fawns in my front yard while she goes off grazing., Now this is trust. I have other shots but this is the firsttime I have captured them with their eyes shut.
This was my first time to donate blood. It was easier than I had feared. I didn't even pass out, probably because I had eaten a good protein lunch and had lots of water to stay hydrated. Maybe I'll do it again.
