Nikki is 15, and this is the first time she has ever met my sister in laws
Cockapoo puppy(8 months) Buddy. Buddy has never seen a cat before,
let alone met one this close! Nikki has never lived with a dog.....unless
it was before I found her....she was only about 9 months to a year when
I rescued her as a stray in Feb of 1996:) I know she seems to hate other
cats....if she sees one outside she growls like a demon! I had Buddy on a
leash and Nikki was loose in the airconditioned bedroom...this is here
space. When she saw Buddy she jumped down off the bed and walked
right up to him with absolutely no hissing or hesitation! Luckily Buddy was
a perfect little gentleman and was quite calm.....especially since he is still
a puppy! Nikki was totally comfortable around him....she was even purring
and walking up to try and rub his face:) She acted like they had always
been friends! I still can't get over how this turned out.....she is such a
amazing cat! She acted the same when she met Sammy, but Sammy, being
a herding dog (Sheltie) got a little excited.....Nikki still likes him too!

California-girl Jackie gets her toes wet in the cold, cold Atlantic for the first time. (This was high up on her to-do list.) At Lighthouse Beach in Chatham on Cape Cod.
This is from a trip I took to Carriacou for the first time.
I've heard that the sea gets a little bumpy on the way up, but nothing really could have prepared me for what I experienced.
The entire top deck was soaked with water from huge swells, and I remembered thinking, this can't be normal. Indeed it wasn't as I later found out from the crew who said that the swells were well above the norm that day.
To add to that my trusty Cybershot's water proof camera case had a crack and took in some water, needless to say the cybershot is now dead.
It was indeed an experience, shit happens, just have to roll with the punches.

I braved the chilly, windy night to get up on my roof tonight and take this photo of the sky. This is my first time photographing stars and I am extremely happy with how this photo turned out. Meep, I took some selfies earlier today, I'll probably post them tomorrow morning before I head off to go thrifting for some photo props.

I made these for Ardyn tonight. Size Large from the Little Comet Tails Yoga Pants Pattern. I converted them to Board shorties, Adapted the pattern to include an internal pair of shorties as a soaker... attached at just the waistband, and THEN I used my new serger for the first time, and created my first ever lettuce edge hem, with Pink and White Variegated Wooly Nylon Thread. Yay!

You have no idea what a big deal this is for Bianca. I've never mentioned this, but she was born with a neurological problem, and has balance issues. When she was just a few weeks old, I took her to a vet who told me that I should put her down, because she would never have a normal life. Well, that's true. Most cats are nowhere near as happy as she is. Most cats don't have a person and 3 other cats that love her dearly. She's had a limited, but great life. So when after almost 5 years, she decided to climb the tree in her yard, It was a pretty big deal. She had sooooo much fun! If you notice all the sticky seeds in her fur, you can tell she had been having fun all morning.
