My entry into firstorderlego's Instagram MOC contest.

Was really pumped when I saw the contest launched, so I'm glad to have finished a pretty good entry. Of course, the build definitely lacks some stuff, but I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and it's definitely one of my best Star Wars builds.

If you enjoyed this MOC, drop a like and follow for more projects coming soon! I actually have a ton of stuff I need to get done, so this page won't be dormant haha.

SCENE: On top off the mountains, above the clouds, sits the Golden Pagoda. Legend says an old ronin lives there, some try to seek him out....

Having finished the stunning game Ghost of Tsushima earlier this year, I immediately knew I had to build a cool Japanese/Asia inspired styled Samurai MOC. The Asia category in the Summer Joust sold me on the idea and forced to me finish it by August. I am also a huge fan of Japanese Ukio-e art, which inspired me a lot. This is not any specific scene from a game or art piece, just a cool idea in my mind that I wanted to realise.

I think I managed to fulfill my initial idea of how it should have looked like. The larger island was built in less than 4 days, while the small one took 4 weeks :D I’m happy with the rockwork, managed to include some cool new pieces, as with the green vegetation, while the large tree I could have done better. I finally got to use some new techniques and pieces in the MOC, like the legs as poles of the “torii” gates, the catapult pieces as stairs, the Thor hammers as parts of the roof and a few other.

I made this for FirstOrderLego's contest over on instagram. I just wanted to share some of my favorite shots here. I hope you all enjoy it! Feel free to go check out my Instagram for more pics.

"The war rages on... a clone convoy of weapons and ammunition on the planet of Talus is under attack from local rebels that have aligned with the CIS. As the clones realize the rebels have hidden themselves near an old bridge, a trap is sprung taking out two shines in the process. In retaliation, the clones scatter in order to surround the enemy and capture them once and for all."

I’m back with a entirely new Clone Wars era build that I designed based off of concept designs and other artwork. This mixture of colors and action was built within a month of starting it and slowly was built up starting with the bridge and creek/river area. I wanted to accomplish a build that was not based off of anything seen in the Clone Wars though would make sense and fit perfectly into that era. There’s so much to see in this build that I have also made a video with more pictures and close ups to give you an idea on how certain elements of this came together. -

I also want to give credit where credit is due for some of the incredible techniques featured in this build.

For the grass technique which was the most difficult part of the build, I give credit to the talented Emil who also made a tutorial on his page.

The explosion seen in the upper part of the build near the train cars, was inspired by Eddy who has done many well detailed vignettes.

Finally I used one of my favorite AT-RT designs made by my good friend Luke who also made a tutorial on it which you can find on his channel.

Lots of work went into this build and I would appreciate any and all comments, such as your favorite parts or techniques used. Follow the people mentioned as well as they do some pretty amazing stuff as well. Credit to my man Thomas for editing this photo for me as well ;D

“Me and my men have successfully reached the city gate. We have suffered a great amount of casualties along the way. The city is swarming with separatist forces. We are currently preparing to march through the city gate. Wish us good luck and my the force be with you.” CT 2951 (Commander Charger)

This is my part of the muunilinstcollab. It shows the city gate, some terrain outside the city and a small portion of the city. The at-rt is heavily inspired by firstorderlego ‘s at-rt design but with a few modifications.

AT-RT design by @firstorderlegos

For this week, I really aimed to make the beachy part of the MOC as detailed as possible. So to start with it, I used a mixture of Tan and Dark Tan plates, tiles and various other parts to make it blend very well together. For the water I used several different blue colored plates to give it a slightly lighter shade of blue when getting to the dry land. Topped it off then with some Trans-Clear studs. For the figures I used the usual which are the droids attached with clips coming out of the water and clones taking them on on the beach. The only thing I felt that was missing was some green that I ended up putting in the background of the MOC. Also have some detail such as crates and a command post just for extra ;) #legostarwars #lego

my entry for firstorderlego’s #folcontest2020 on Instagram

Here is my stormtrooper mosaic MOC I built last year and just got around to rebuilding it for the upcoming Kockice Con hosted by Klub Kockice that I will be attending with Luke or FirstOrderLego.

This MOC is built with over 5,000+ pieces and took a assembly time of 5 hours to build. My recent video shares the process of building it via a timelapse. It was definitely something interesting to build as I’m usually the kind of builder to work on dioramas with figures. After completing this, I’ve come to the point of having more respect for mosaic builders. Definitely takes time and patience.

Feel free to let me know what you think and comment below on whether or not I should build more of these in the future.

Here are a few pictures of my newest MOC- Snokes Throne Room Battle. For a full overview check out the lateat video on my YouTube channel @FirstOrderLego. What do you think?

The 16th to 17th of November I attended Bricking Bavaria in Munich, Germany. Met a lot of awesome people and I had a tremendous amount of fun. Can't wait to meet my fellow RebelLUG members again!
