I upgraded to the iPhone 2.0 firmware. Now I am impressed with the phone. All the applications that can be installed now make it more than an extended iPod. The firmware takes almost 1GB, which is the size of a full fledged operating system. It will be interesting to see the real power of the iPhone harnessed. Here's a snapshot of my home screen after the firmware update

The one on the right is definitely slightly brighter, probably from a slight contrast increase.
