A Mexican native performs her fire twirling along the beach in Playa Del Carmen. She just happened to look over right as I snapped the photo.
Inspired by Japanese animation, this avant-grade production paints a vibrant musical landscape, featuring bizarre characters, animated movements and an exhilarating fire twirling performance.
‘Heroes of the La-La Land’ was an amazing pyro performance - a part of the month long Singapore Arts Festival. The scene here is part of the grand finale when all the characters came together to fight and performed a perfectly choreographed ending to this great show.
This is also a handheld one second exposure. I am so glad I didn't have a flash or a tripod - I would have completely missed this shot and the previous one too.

Jacob McGrath from Dream State Circus gave participants in the L I G H T P L A Y workshop a once in a decade opportunity to photograph high octane fire-juggling and fire-twirling using slow synch flash. His show was just amazing and it left everyone absolutely awed! Check out Dream State Circus at: www.dreamstatecircus.com/
I had so much fun at a friends studio in Grand Rapids, where we did a fire shoot with members of KnottyBits Sideshow

First attempt @ "Burning Man" Shoot. Next attempt will hopefully be a lot better (minus mosquitoes).
I got an opportunity last night to take several photographs of someone fire twirling.
I was set up with my tripod but unfortunately didn't have my remote shutter release (so you can see some ghosting in places).
It took me a while to dial into the best settings to show the action, but I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out.
