If i was to tell you, I camped for 2 weeks in Yosemite, had the pleasure of meeting many friendly people from all corners of the globe and the kindness these strangers extended to me ranged from food, batteries, a place to sit and their TIME...would you believe that it restored my faith in the people of the world?
I could tell you about the women (from Africa) who walked up as I sat at Glacier point, she started crying...Why?? the beauty of the park overcame her.
These two week, will stand out for me as the best two weeks of my life.
*photo: taken near Glacier Point on a very special night.
The colors came from the setting sun which was behind me... not a fire. It was AMAZING!

On this day, the setting sun did not appear. The sun shone through the clouds in a fiery red. Twilight had progressed that day and the fire station in Zedtwitz was watching the fire-red sky.

It is a rare event that a major storm clears up during a sunset and this spectacle only lasts for a few minutes. I estimate the length of the cloud to be around 12.5 miles.

The distant horizon with what felt to me like fire in the sky and clouds. Bursting with reds, yellows and a tiny but of blue as the evening dusk sets in the distance. The trees grace the horizon against the red glowing light. This was an experimentation in processing since I had some time to play and stretch my boundaries with colour and vibrancy. The red glow was already in the horizon so I wanted to make that a feature
A sunrise picture looking towards the East. This was a Hawaiian Sunrise, they are the best in the World. Trust me. I have been around the world 3 times, and they dont get any better then Hawaii.

A wonderful sunrise over the river Danube in Budapest with the Chain Bridge. sitting proudly in the middle.
High clouds moved in just as the sun was setting and resulted in this graceful fire sky. Looking southeast. Taken 1 Sept.

The second pano of the little series, really like the wet look after some rain, gives some more interest to the shot.

I was happy with this taken straight from the camera: www.flickr.com/photos/cloud_spirit/48438966037/
but thought this new version was more realistic with respect to contrast and color balance.
