An OKC artist in the final stages of firing his pottery. Thought I'd get an early shot out there for the world to see.

I took this picture because I found examples of water drop photography all over flickr, and thought it would be really interesting to challenge myself to try it.
I took this picture using a glass pan with red construction paper under it. I used a flash that skimmed the light from the left, and my camera on a tripod and a remote. I dropped water into the pan and completely guessed focus, in other words it was a shot in the dark. I shot over and over until I finally got some in focus.
To edit I kept it pretty simple, contrast, exposure, temperature, clarity, saturation.
The color in this picture really emphasizes the water because it really shows the shadows and highlights of the water ripples and drop.
